Blu-ray region change in multiman

Hi, I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere, so someone please help. My question is..... If I have a PAL PS3 running Evilnat 4.88 with multiman installed, can I use it in the USA to play NTSC blu-ray discs. Obviously, I will change the blu-ray region code to "A" using multiman, and the PS3 will be connected to the TV using an HDMI cable. So will this work?

If I good remember PS3 hasn't region lock for games . It use region code only for BD with movies .

Yes, I understand that my question was if I change the BD region code to "A" on a PAL PS3 will it play NTSC discs in America via the HDMI lead?
