bluetooth on controllers stopped working

I loaded up my ps3 and it said generic controller failed now both ps3 real controllers wont sync bluetooth. I have them totually charge I put them in the micro usb to usb port and they play fine with usb cable in as soon as unplug them they blink red couple times and don't sync. This is for both controllers and they work fine on other ps3's. I tried resetting with a pin and that didn't work either. Any ideas I would thinking of making a system backup and factory reset but i only have one working usb port on this slim. Last time this issue just resolved itself. '
im on firmware 4.88 cex Corbra 8.3 when i plug in controller on usb it works but says found unknown device.

So they work on other ps3's with bluetooth?

If they do then i'm guessing it's a problem with the bluetooth receiver inside the ps3, try pairing a bluetooth keyboard with the console to see if it will pair.

If it doesn't then my first go-to would be check the bluetooth receiver antenna was still plugged in properly. iirc the bluetooth is the white one.
bluetooth is the black one on the CECH-2503A

i ended up getting a new one not worth the stress of opening slim soldered on. thanks though for the help guys
