PS3 Can you Use Us/jp Games with your Eu console?

I briefly tested MGS3 HD eu version on my US console and everything was fine

You don't need any hacks to do that, PS3 is completely region free, will play all games.

Also don't worry about bricking like that, a game will never brick your console asit only affects the hdd, you can format hdd or put in a new one and console will still work, HDD files are not important, its only apps that mess with flash like some homebrew that could do that, or bad FW etc.

I already tried it with a couple of ps3 games and it works without any problems.

I am ready to install gta 5 on my jailbroken ps3, and gta 5 is usa region, and my ps3 is sc-35. Is my PS3 USA or EU,i wouldn't want to ruin my ps3.SORRY FOR MAYBE BAD ENGLISH!

ps3 disc and psn games work on all consoles. it is region free for them...ps1 + ps2 i am not sure.
