I can't auth into this thing no matter what I do. Ive swapped RxD and TxD multiple times, resoldered them, checked continuity to syscon itself (pins 78 and 79), and soldered the ground directly to the copper. I tried using the script via CMD and NostaDiag. I double checked my adapter works and auth'd into a CECHL and CECHG with 0 issues. The system itself works fine, but I just CANT auth into syscon for some reason. Am I stupid? Anyone else have this issue before?

Hi. You want to make sure that you're getting the +5V_EVER from your power supply (it gets supplied to the board over the small 4-pin cable and should be present on pin 1 and pin 4), see https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Template:PS3_PSU_Control_connector_4_pins
This voltage lane gets stepped down further into +3.3V_EVER by one of the voltage regulators beneath the connector.
If you do get +5V_EVER coming out of your PSU, you might want to make sure you're getting +3.3V_EVER on pins 35 and 36 of the Syscon next.
If you don't, look for shorts or failed components on these power lines.

The console boots and works completely fine other than not being able to use access syscon through uart. I compared all the pins on the syscon ic (SW2-301) to the wiki and everything is there except for TxD, which according to the wiki it should be 3.3v at standby, but I have 0v. Theres a resistor connected to the test pad but it measures fine (10k ohms).

Im using an FT232, jumper is set to 3.3v. I just used it to adjust the fan curve in my CECHL and ive used it before on a CECHG, but I have a CP2012 on the way to see if maybe its some weird issue with the FT232. I've also tried using a different PC
