PS3 CECHA00 Does not start ps2 discs but also no iso with Netemu ?!

Hey,

I'm on Rebug REX 4.84(.2 Cobra 8.1)

bought a CECHA00 recently and figured out it does not boot ps2 discs it blackscreens but do not freeze I can normaly leave and go back to XMB, I tought maybe the drive is broken, so I copied the disc to HDD to start it from ISO, but as you can guess when it can copy the disc to internal HDD the drive should be fine, so taht is not the problem, I launcht from the ISO from internal HDD, nothing, same issue.

is there a way to force netemu usage on bc ps3's with rebug toolbox it should be but al the tiem i load the iso it activates ps2 emu not net emu self.

First I tought damn the EEGS is defective but netemu also does not work?! what am I missing here? Im confused, Im Close to scraping this console and buy me another one but damn that would be a waste of money :'(


The Game (GTA 3 NTSC and PAL tested both version to be safe its not a region thing) is compatible I got a CECHB00 beside that A00 with same software setup rebug rex, etc. everything the same it boots the game from disc, from iso and with netemu. How I know netemu is really utilized? The ingame PS menu shows the CPU/RSX temps, Real HW does not. So I can be sure it really uses netemu.

I do not have any japanese game discs for ps2 to 100% be sure it is not a region thing but normaly when it is region locked it shouldn't even start and stopping with xmb error. but rebug rex is cobra 8.1 enabled it skips region locks on ps2 software like it does on my B00 this starts PAL and NTSC from disc and iso just fine.

I even tought maybe defective firmware install so I upgraded to latest evilnut PEX but same issue I went down to 3.55 and back up to 4.84 rex but issue still there.

I don't understand what you mean, but install this application to force your console into PS2 netemu mode. Then select your game installed on the HDD via webman. When the PS2 game dvd icon appears, open the application you installed. This will force your ps3 into ps2 netemu mode. (For the application to work, you must log in once with your PSN account.) My CECHB01 game console does not open PS2 games and remains on a black screen. But I have access to xmb thanks to the ps key. This is a sign of ee+gs or rambus failure. For you I forced my CECHA12 into netemu mode.
