I wouldn't offer the option to return...no way no how. In the particular country where I live in Europe, used products on ebay or the local ebay are stated to have no warranty nor a right of return. HOWEVER, the product you receive must be exactly as it is stated in the ad and if it's not working it has to be stated as "for parts only". If it's not working when you receive it and the seller said it was working when it left them then that is where it gets tricky.Just to give u guys feedback, he actually stolen my drive. The drive wasn't even spinning discs. I replaced the logic board, then is started to sping, i remarried and it's now reading ps3, but the ps2 laser is bad. No way that my drive that was working perfect, came back with 2 totally independent problems.
Again just giving u feedback, at least i learnt a lot in these 2 days. now i have 2 drives not reading ps2, just going to replace lens and try to resolve it.
Either way I would make it very clear that the purchase is final and no warranty or returns are allowed. The product is sold as is.
The bottom line is that the modern used market is based on trust and nothing more. Back in the day the used market were pawn shops and flea markets where you could inspect the product before putting money down. With ebay, Craigslist, etc it's based on trust. For the most part it works but there are tons of unethical people and just plain lowlife thieves who take advantage of that trust.
