problem fixed, installing 8 updates from 1.01 until 1.09. installing the last update only broke the game.

yeah PS3 game updates aren't cumulative like the X360 ones, you can let your PS3 update the game on its own even on a CFW that won't get your console banned
 
Need help can someone tell me how to see what the TV is output for the games I play on the over clocked version of evilnat 4.89.3 I'm trying to get the akari 1.22 or newer on the system to show this but I can't find the pkg gethub does not have the developer on the site anymore.

I changed my XMB to debug mode and clicked on it again before rebooting and i got black screen.
Btw i never liked those options in a form of a toggle, I always prefer a straight forward approach.


FTP server, if it is already enabled it can just say it and report the IP to the user, if you click multiple times on it eventually it will says an error occorred to the ftp server??? i don't remember right know, so seems like it tries to enable it again and over again


The toggle for CEX/DEX debug settings says "reboot the system to see the changes" or something like that, but actually isn't true, sysconf works on the fly.

In addition i would like to request one more patch

this time software_update_plugin but if possible the cex one as the dex bypasses the EULA screen, the requested patch is to enable the min version information on cex without the need of a DEX kernel.

Didn't know the min ver existed on DEX units!. This surely is a nice to have.

Nat if you can the explorer plugin too (dex), to enable the check option while on cex (at least for 4.88) , ofc it will need the checker_plugin.sprx. With those two patches we'll have all dex options on cex

Hi folks, just fired up the PS3 for the 1st time in ages and lots of problems with MM. Decided to up the FW but I cannot open any of Nathan's rar files from Mega. They download no problem but neither WinRAR nor 7zip can open them. What am I doing wrong?

You probably are using an old version. Update 7zip or WinRAR to the latest version.

Min version can't be enabled in CEX software_update_plugin.sprx because it does not exist. I can check about EULA

explore_plugin is the hardest file to patch to make it work with 4.89 layout because it has a lot of differences. I have patched it but trophy category is not correct yet

You are right, even the debug update doesn't work, i noted that the Update via Internet only works in DEX kernel, can you see that too? in cex kernel it is grayed out only changing the kernel to dex , make it work ( i spent 3 days on it lol, i thought my server/txt was wrong)

If you can please.

1. Enable the Eula Screen in Dex module.
2. Enable the mim ver informatio in CEX KERNEL .
3. Enanle the Update via Internet in CEX KERNEL.

What is the difference between 4.89.3 and 4.90 ?
 
Does anyone know why the date field always uses the current date when you use the triangle button to unlock a specific trophy in CFW tools?

I'm trying to pre-date some online trophies for a game that had its servers shutdown.

It uses the internal clock not the system one.

You can't install a dex PUP on a CEX system, install the PEX one and convert it from the CFW Tools

The DEX update can only be installed on DEX systems, i.e., either official DECH models or systems that have been converted to DEX using CFW tools (Evilnat or Rebug).
To convert your system to DEX, install either Evilnat PEX or Rebug REX. In the case of Evilnat you'll have the option to convert to DEX in the CFW tools menu in XMB. In the case of Rebug you'll need to install Rebug Toolbox (the installation pkg is bundled with the firmware) and use the option there.
Once you have converted the system to DEX mode it should be possible to install the DEX variant of Evilnat, however that is really not recommended since PEX allows you to switch back and forth and anyway DEX doesn't really have any features that PEX doesn't.
One more thing - Do not under any circumstance attempt to install DEX OFW on a converted system, you risk bricking your unit. DEX OFW can only be used on official DECH units.
 
Many thanks! Is there any chance of porting the old formatting tool (eg 4.46) to newer firmwares? The old tool was able to format 1.75tb internal hdds instead of only 1.5tb.
