My PS3 CFW has developed an issue, and im hoping its nothing I have done thats irreversable.....I havent intentionally changed any settings but here is the issue.
I loaded abn original PS3 game (Driver Sanfransisco) into the machine and using Multiman saved the disc onto my internal HDD. However i couldnt get the game to play from the HDD. SO I deleted the content with the idea of trying again. BUT now I turn on my PS3, select the Rebug icon to bring up the CFW applications such as MMan, and within five or so seconds the PS3 returns to the original home screen......Can anyone offer any help.

The PS3 is displaying the following

Sorry, my apologies, I had forgotten what happes, its when I start Multiman, plus as the multiman boot logo appears and the boot sound plays, that MM sound gets interupted by a different tune, then the PS3 reverts back to the original Home screen :ambivalence::ambivalence::ambivalence:

like i've said, reinstall multiman.you can try to switch to mmCm from multiman settings, but it shouldn't crash by default settings anyway.

also, multiman is outdated, you can try version patched for HEN or 4.82.2,avoid latest 00 version, people had problems with it,i personally stopped using it due to various problems back on 4.82.2 and switched to webman MOD + irisman (for ps1 games).

Thanks for your advice, is there a guide somewhere I could follow to allow me to do this.....I had my CFW installed by someone else, so my knowledge is very limited...

download latest or preffered version of multiman or any manager you want, you can find them here or the brewology site, put them on the fat32 mbr usb and install from package manager on game colum on the ps3's xmb.

current version you can unistall by pressing triangle then select 'delete'.

View attachment 19481 Ok, learning a lot today, and your help is much appreciated, I have deleted Multiman, and now had Webman MOD, which seems to play my PS1 games as well. If a can pester a little more, can I customise the appearance of the folder Webman folder icon on the XMB, at the moment its a pale folder icon. Secondly how do I transfer PS3 discs to the PS3 HDD using Webman. Thanks again for your help, below is a pic of the Webman icon on my XMB

use ftp and preferably filezilla on the pc,both pc and ps3 should be connected to same router.you can use wlan on the pc side,it shouldn't affect much but use wlan on the ps3 side only if you don't have any other option as this is by far slowest method there is as ps3 wlan is mid 00's tech and can only do 2-2,5mb/s (you can't transfer anything other than small files realistically that way).

I dont have a Bluray player on my PC to be able to RIP the disc, I already use filezilla to transfer ISO's. Multiman allowed me to copy to HDD, would Webman play a game iso ripped with MM ??

You rip the games with multiMAN. Pop the disc in the system. Then it depends on what skin you are using but it's under the games category. Highlight the inserted disc and press triangle and choose the copy disc option. Choose either your USB drive of dev_hdd0:/PS3ISO folder.

I have reinstalled Multiman for the sole purpose of ripping the Driver SF bluray game onto my PS3 internal HDD. However Multiman still seems to have issues on my PS3 and doesnt recognise the disc. The issues with MM are that when booting the normal MM music gets overidden with a different tune, and after a minute the orginal XMB returns even without any keypresses. Its not a problem as I am now using IRIS and WEBAN to play games, but Id like to rip the Driver SF onto the HDD. As above I have no BD ROM in my PC. Is there any other homebrew or package that can rip PS3 games ????

Use irisman, is much better imho and still supported by devs, works great with ps1 games, has ntfs support... anyways.

Launch irisman, press start, go to tools, find where it says cobra and change it to with bdvd controller.
