PS2 changing the usb drive

Hello, I have a PS2 Slim 900xx and followed an old guide to hack it. I installed Funtuna and Free McBoot version 1.8 (the one uploaded on August 30, 2020, which I believe is the latest version). I also installed a 2013 version of Open PS2 Loader (OPL) version 3.0, though the file is named OPL_Manager_V21.7. The guide recommended this older version because it can play PS1 games. I also installed a file called PS1 Starter and an app called USBUtil for handling PS2 games larger than 4GB. So far, PS1 games work fine, and smaller PS2 games run without issues, but the larger PS2 games are not working at all. I've heard that using exFAT might be faster for downloading and running games. Is that true? I plan to use a 480GB SSD for storing and playing my games. Could you guide me on how to set it up correctly? I'll share some pictures of my USB drive and the files I've downloaded as well.

I formatted the external SSD to exFAT and copied all the files to it, but the PS2 isn't detecting the SSD, and I'm not sure why.

Where did you get those game images?.

Games like The Warriors (928 KB!!!), FIFA Street 2, Ben 10 - Protector of Earth are corrupted.
Incorrect size.

Is this the root of your USB drive?
Or these files are in PS2 Software?

yes this is the root of my external ssd drive

You have plenty of junk on that storage. OPL DB, seriously?

I see that you have turned on in Windows hiding full filenames option which will bring you troubles one day.
I got it from a YouTube guide, so to be honest, I'm not sure what it is.
agree i will turn it off

So rather then help the guy, let's get him in a "gotcha!" so we can remind him piracy is illegal and against forum rules and close the thread?

If you know the rules, then you know that some users "ask for help" on piracy topics.

Rule of thumb: when in doubt, read the rules: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/site-forum-rules-guidelines.79/

These are OP's words, not mine:

I'll share some pictures of my USB drive and the files I've downloaded as well.
