PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

They are loaded from /dev_hdd0/game/PS2CONFIG

The database for PS2ISO is installed automatically when you install webMAN MOD or update it.

The database for PS2 Classics should to be installed manually due its size.

If you need to know if a game is in the database or not, you can check:
http://ps3.aldostools.org/ps2config.html

yep, webman is auto installing configs that are not iin ur database ex:dq viii, nba street 2,socom 3,darkstalker collection,

So i wondered from where where they came from

Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King-
SLUS-21207

SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs-
SCUS-97474

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2-

SLUS-20362

Dragon quest viii config actually seem to make game run worse, the other one i am not even sure what they are fixing.

Aldo is the mantainer of the web database, and i guess the PKG with all the configs too, in theory should be synced, but if you are right it seems there is a mistmatch in that configs you are mentioning

I dont remeber what happened with that games, but probably we can figure it using the forum search, most probably was experimental configs published in this thread

none of this configs were ever published on here, dragon quest 8,socom 3,hot pursuit 2 works the same way without config.

DQ 8 CONFIG MAKE THE GAME RUN worse-with config stuttering is worse and speed is slower, game also sometimes also freeze when hit by any monster sometimes.

DQ 8 without config,it runs smooth, completed the ntsc version on ps3 without much problem

I don't have idea where you are getting these CONFIG files. Maybe from ManaGunZ.

I don't have these files in my database nor in my computer.

From all the game ids that you mentioned, I only have NFS Hot Pursuit 2 [SLUS-20362] and it is already listed in the online database.

The config for NBA Street 2 was uploaded today from your post.

Then are taken from this collection of custom configs, so was added manually at some point by @Zar maybe he remembers when/why was added
https://github.com/Zarh/ManaGunZ/tree/master/pkgfiles/USRDIR/sys/CONFIG/CUSTOM

If you are sure about which ones needs to be removed or replaced by others just tell it
Reporting a problem is good, but reporting a problem and suggesting a solution to solve it is even better :)

dragon quest viii config make game run worse,no issues with the other ones.

even though they don't seem to be fixing anything.

@FestCl Try this:
Code:
3D 00 00 00 46 3D 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 28 00
00 00 30 00 07 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Character select will be very slow! This is normal. Try mission 9 and see if there are any freezes. If not, try mission 10 and Rikimaru's mission as well. I tested very shortly and did not encounter any freezes. I killed the first few enemies and advanced through some of the level, also left the controller sitting for about 10 or so minutes with no freezes.

If freezes are fixed, I can find the exact place where it is happening and make the game full speed again.

@Rafaelrios In this case, it seems maybe an effect isn't at fault and rather could be an accuracy problem, so all effects will be enabled should this work.

EDIT: Nevermind, I got a freeze after like 15 mins... :(
I have tried and although there are freezes these take longer to come out, that is if the gameplay has many FPS drops

By the way, Guilty Gear Isuka, Sega AM2 FMVs (Aero Elite, Macross), and Hokuto no Ken run slow because of their large framebuffer. Guilty Gear's resolution is 640x478, and netemu hates that I guess. The PS button menu is laggy, too. If there is a way to lower the resolution of these games (without glitches), they will work fine, but I'm not sure.

Wierdly enought most of cpu demanding games on psx2 works fine on netemu

What is the frame buffer of the PAL version?
