PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Hmmm.isn't ur iso the problem?i am pretty sure sony test all games and they need to be fully playable,do u have a save next to the crash?maybe @mrjabeta can fix it.
The emulator is far from perfect, and Sony can definitely miss stuff. I remember encountering texture bugs on cars in Twisted Metal Black's official release way back in like 2012.

They also do a lot of hacky stuff with the emu, like in Persona 4's config: a floating point number 0x3F80 is being read by the emulator, but it interprets it wrong and makes a text box lack. Instead, Sony changed value from 0x3F80 to 0x3F7F for it to work correctly. This is just one example, but there are many throughout the configs made by Sony. This gave me the idea to fix Growlanser V's bug too, since float is correct but the emu interprets it wrong.

This game's bug seems a little different, and probably isn't really related to float calculations, but logically speaking the emulator works in bizarre ways a lot of the time.

Speaking of p4 why does that glitch happen when sometimes the game just fails to save (seen someone on a live stream have slot 1 get corrupted)?

on the wikia...
Psdevwiki is not wikia
Wikipedia is not wikia either
Wikia is a for-profit company that have a wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fandom_(website)

Wiki is either the webs, or the software used in that webs (both things are named "wiki") https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki
The software used by psdevwiki (and wikipedia) is named mediawiki https://www.mediawiki.org/
But mediawiki is just one of the wiki softwares availables (the most popular, though)

In general we talk about psdevwiki.com as "the wiki" to short the name, but we mean "the PS3 scene wiki"... or "our wiki"
Personally i been calling psdevwiki just "wiki" since years ago (and sometimes the "kiwi" for fun), and eventually was generated some terms where we assume by the context that we are refering to psdevwiki, like the term RTFW (derived from RTFM)

Anyway... psdevwiki (the wiki we use) is not related with wikia at all (the company)

The PS2 Classic versions don't have save corruptions. They used to happen with P3 FES before it was updated, but other than they only happen when playing the disc versions on the PS3.

the issue is also present on full bc ps3? so it is not an emulation bug.
It is an emulation bug, just like Burnout 3's save corruption on full-BC is an emulation bug. The memory card system is being emulated on all PS3 models.

I only heard of this issue through @pokegts90 and did some Googleing. I have no idea if this game was updated or not.

Speaking of corrupted memory cards, I was reminded that the homebrew version of the AC5 game also has this problem on PS4, it can't be archived and suggests that the archive is corrupted, I wonder if it's the same situation as this game? If it's the same, @mrjaredbeta can you fix it?
