PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Sorry, my fault. I posted the wrong config (it was one of my configs for testing). Here is the fully working one:

Giants: Citizen Kabuto (SLUS-20178)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
B8 E8 18 00 12 C6 05 0C 00 00 00 00 A8 93 19 00
70 38 06 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Same description as previous config.
Finish test! Bad FMVs seems disabled, game works fine!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (SLUS-20576) (SLES-51192) (no idea about the other regions...there are so many)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 07 00 00 00 08 00 00 00
0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 20 2F 1A 00 0B 00 40 10
0B 00 00 10 0E 00 00 00 B4 07 21 00 0E 00 00 00
28 6A 28 00 21 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Skips mipmapping to fix texture glitches, and accuracy improvement to fix infinite walk through the door at Knockturn/Diagon Alley as well as a fix for some other graphical glitches. 0x21 should fix the possible rare infinite loading screens (I got it a few times after loading my save, but never after enabling 0x21).

The @mrjaredbeta's config will be valid for the all PAL versions. Unfortunately, the SLPS/SLPM are slightly different:

Harry Potter to Himitsu no Heya (SLPS-20234)

Was test NTSC version! Looks like bugs fixed but i noticed some rare flickering in barn on start game! But anyway game looks fine now!

Hey there. Wondering if anyone could help here. Having some issues .Hack Infection

I am using the EVIL CFW and both Multiman and Modman to boot PS2 games on the PS3

I tried playing Dot.Hack Infection (with the updated config to get past the opening crash already listed online on the PS2 compat list) but after that I am constantly getting graphical errors whilst playing, which aren't listed on the PS2/PS3 classics compatibility list.

Wondering if anyone has a way to fix this issue? Since I cant find anything about it online and I assume someone completed all of the Dot.Hack games on PS3 right?

For clarification, the graphical issue is flashing blank squares and rectangles. I think it's something to do with the character shadows. I am using a PS3 slim.

Also just want to say thanks to this community, the work you people have put it in incredible.

You were last seen two months ago, so you will probably never see the reply. If anyone interested, tt turns out the .hack Infection CUSTOM config had an error. That config was probably dumped manually from the gxemu. The second 0x08 command in that config was like that:
Code:
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 40 A7 E0 01 3C 03 00 80
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 40 A7 E1 01 FC 1E 00 80
But in the GX/SOFT configs, it is like:
Code:
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 40 A7 E0 01 3C 03 00 80
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 40 A7 E0 01 FC 1E 00 80

I am not sure which opcodes are patched or original (Get_CONFIG output and wiki show different order), but that config either did not apply the patch or did apply it wrong! First command is correct although, the one responsible for freeze probably.

Together with @aldostools we removed a lot of CUSTOM-GX duplicates. A lot of wrong configs were among them (like the .hack Infection one), mismatched (Primal instead of Syphon Filter) or broken (wrong endianess in the 0x12 subcommand in Seiken Densetsu 4).

I saw that flickering, too. I only played a bit more of the game, but I managed to fix a lot of white flickering in the second level that was due to some accuracy problem. I did try to fix that barn glitch but wasn't able to, so it must be due to something else. Hopefully that's the only other glitch...I'll eventually play through the game and report back (or fix ;)) any other problems I see in the game.

Its ok, game very playble anyway! Also test pal version and seems no flickering in barn!

@Vika23 I tested it and the barn glitch happens on actual PS2 hardware as well, albeit a bit less. It seems more of a problem with the game rather than emulation. Hopefully that confirms no other problems later in the game due to emulation (or at least problems from emulation rather than the game itself).

Is there any chance FFXII will get its sound glitch fixed?

Also, are the ENC configs kept up to date on the site? It seemed that the Star Ocean 3 one still had the cut off voice lines, which I saw fixed a couple years back.

mrjaredbeta or anybody else I have a favor to ask please. Can someone play Killer 7 not for a long time all I want you to do is aim your gun which you hold R2 to do, and tell me does the aim drift around or stay still? I have a Mayflash Magic NS adapter which let's you use almost any controller I have tried Dualshock 4, Offbrand Dualshock 3, Wavebird with Wiimote using another mayflash adapter, Wii Classic Controller with Wiimote and Xbox 360 controller and even official Dualshock 3 and it always drifts. I could only find by googling that at least on the Gamecube version it's not supposed to drift like that, but I have tried half dozen controllers and it drifts. If the PS2 version is not supposed to drift I can only assume the Mayflash adapter is causing it and maybe my official Dualshock 3's analog stick is not centered, or there's some problem with the game because of compatibility. It makes it impossible to beat this boss I'm at which requires precise aiming.

This game is really cool and unique and people should check it out anyway.

thanks
