PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

It is similar to the FFXII IZJS English patch. According to the reports, the 0x21 command fixes the stuttering in turbo mode, but crashes the game while saving. I do not know how does the stuttering affect the gameplay. Maybe it would be better to remove that from the config, I do not know, I have never played this version long enough.

Yes, except the Tales of Destiny config is not using command 0x21, so the crash is coming from the TLB misses caused by loading the English text from that specific menu and not directly from a config command.

It is probably good as a fail-safe to remove the command from FFXII IZJS. I think it just smooths out the frame rate for the fast forward feature as the game speed is unaffected with or without the command.

Yes, the crash still happens cause the text is still saved in English to the save file without the patch applied. You could mention it on the patch's GitHub as a TLB miss issue with a screenshot of PCSX2's console log to see if it can be fixed from his end. I can upload a PCSX2 savestate for you right next to the area if you want to do that.

I will at least try to fix the other bugs with accuracy fixes when I have some extra time.
Oh! I see, thanks by the way, i can't use the pcsx2 My pc can't run the emu :( , for now i using the PS3 hardware for PS2

FFXII works perfectly without the 0x21 command, the game on ps2 also stutters in turbo mode.

Which game id? All the config files for FFXII in the database don't include the 0x21 command.
Only the configs for Final Fantasy XII International: Zodiac Job System [Ultimate Hits] have it.

Press CTRL and click on the game to see the code like this:

Shadow effects seem to hit performance a bit harder than the blur effect, but I know what you mean...shadow is literally in the title of the game :D

Code:

50 2A 33 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
This is blur disabled.

Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
50 2A 33 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 2C 53 33 00
01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
This is both shadows and blur disabled.

I am sure the second one will fix the slowdown, but I am unsure about the blur one.

@MadSaint1998 Speedhack config will get Driv3r into a playable state performance wise, but the cars still have bad AI on mission 2. I got past mission 2 by making the car AI more accurate but it dramatically slows down the frame rate. Maybe I can limit down the range and it will be playable...not sure though.

Scarface is still unplayable.

Hi mrjaredbeta , tweaking police car AI on mission 2 slow down the frame rate but it is possible to only modify it and stop the process right after the wall to see the reaction ? maybe everything go on rail after this damn wall ?!

This alternative config brings much modern control scheme utilizing DS3 triggers (they are a crap, anyway). The executable is packed, so I took the opportunity to include the remap in the config. The codes have been generated by the PS2 Controller Remapper, because they are so good, there is no need to reinvent the wheel again. The swapped buttons are:
R2 - accelerate
L2 - brake
R1 - handbrake (a CIRCLE could be used too)
L1 - rear view
CROSS - gear up
SQUARE - gear down
Moreover, the remap does activate itself during the drive only, leaving the menus intact.
Special thanks goes to:
@pelvicthrustman for an extremely efficient and very clever code with MIPS IV conditional move instructions. I have learnt a lot from this one, mate!
@kozarovv for tracing the EESYNC module to patch, preventing the game to wipe the code from the memory.

I just found a bug that prevents you from progressing through the story in Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut

happens in a dungeon after passing through a corridor the character is stopped without the possibility of moving

here I leave a save in the exact place (saved suspended) and another in the same dungeon, I use holy bottles to get to that corridor quickly without having to fight

Fixes all of the bugs Lunanabe mentioned (besides the PS3 shutdown caused from the English patch).

@Lunanabe You can put the CONFIG in this zip back to the USRDIR path to replace the previous one and your game will work again. The suspend point will still be glitched with the config, so just reload your last actual save. :)

Uff You save this and possibly many others life thank you very much, all fixed, the jail guy menú still crash on black screen but that must be the English patch? Who knows, again thanks very :)

Rewritten multi-version config with reduced size and more polished code.

@mrjaredbeta should I delete the following "dupe" CUSTOM configs? The official NET ones look more complete (at least the codes are longer)

SCPS_110.13 Bravo Music
SLUS_209.74 Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga
SLUS_214.31 Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army [keep]
SLPM_652.48 Shin Sangoku Musou 3 [delete]
SLUS_215.71 Growlanser Heritage of War
SCAJ_300.03 Siren [CUSTOM look the same as NET but with game id removed]
SCKA_200.19 Siren [CUSTOM look the same as NET but with game id removed]

SLUS_212.55 Trapt

SLUS-21431 CUSTOM config is superior, as the NET one makes cut scenes to be desynchronised.
SLPM-65248 NET config looks superior indeed and CUSTOM one should be removed.

@aldostools You can delete the two Siren configs and Shin Sangoku Musou 3. The other custom configs are superior as they skip the VSYNC delay command which slows down the game. On the other hand, the Bravo Music custom config allows the pressure sensitive controls to be used instead of it being automatically correct no matter the pressure. Thanks!
