PS3 DECR-1000A Questions

I have bought this model DECR-1000A as a collectible however i received it without HDDs , i have put new 1tb HDD in each bay.
Whenever i boot the console up, the system is working however no picture on screen.
Do i have to go safe mode or get a disc backup from a working one ??? PLEASE HELP ME RESTORE THIS MACHINE

It should show appropriate storage not found message on screen, or dev.net screen, by chance did you buy this from a well known auction site

I have bought it from eBay as untested :hurt:
Is there a special way to get into safe mode, or turn the numerical switches in a special order ? Are the HDD married to each console or can i get an image from another working console transferred.
Most thing that i am afraid of is that the console might be having physical damage or being bricked, not just software issue :(
 
You don't need to toggle any switches on the front,
It should auto format any drive, but more importantly it should display either dev.net with ip address or can't find storage messages
You can hold the main power button down while pressing system init button to reset system settings
But if you've tried the hdmi and av and it's no signal to TV then it maybe a glod situation especially nowdays with 90nm RSX
I've had a few decr1000a tools and non have shown black screen or no signal without hdds

There's 2 hdmi ports one is covered by a plate with2 screws it maybe worth trying that port just as a test although I don't think it was used after a certain firmware update I could be wrong though
 
So I just got a decr-1000a as well and I've followed the posts and looked it up but I can't find/tell out how to find the rsx version even with the registry.sys. the only thing I know is that this reference tool was made in August of 2006 and from left field productions
