PS3 DEX HFW 4.84.1 & DBHFW 4.84.2 for Testkit (DECH) -

So, when using 4.81 OFW and this 4.84 i cant update even my blueray game discks, its shows error, when i try using HEN on 4.84 its not any error, console just get black screen and green led just turn off, like whole consol. Totall blackout. I need to hold power button for half sec after that red led shows up, next power button click green led on and console starts to boot, showing warning that console was shutted down wrong way and do i like to check data on hdd. I heard that 4.82 hfw was more relatable for hen, can i get it somewhere? Or some advices how to make it works? When hen on launching almost anything gets blackout

I too also own a DECH-4000AA. Is there any updates on the current state of HEN for said DEX units? Soul & another user did state games, homebrew just black screens & they'll have to do a hard reset. Will there be a more stable version later on during the year/next year?

Adding onto this I tested 4.84 dex hen on my systems, but esc0rtd3w did mention 4.82 is more stable. I however was never able to get my hands on the 4.82 dex pup. esc0rtd3w does also have some good resources on his github to help build your own hen build, but I will say that is above my pay grade.

I'm pretty sure you can run homebrew on DEX OFW if you resign it in debug mode. Should be doable with the PS3 BD generator tool or True Ancestor, although I haven't personally.

You can run SOME homebrew by signing it correctly on an official dex. But I havent had any luck running anything to load games or similar without using an official bd emulator drive.

Well, you should be able to run any homebrew that doesn't require custom syscalls, and unfortunately loaders like multiman, webMAN MOD etc. do require them.
You might be able to load games through Target Manager if you resign them in debug mode.

@aldostools Could you tell me if webman MOD 1.47.45 works in this DEX HFW 4.84.2 version, when I went to install the console it turns off completely, so I would have to disconnect it from the socket, could you check the reason for this error? I don't know if they all reached the forehead.

webMAN MOD 1.47.45 is compatible with Rebug 4.84.2 DEX mode and Evilnat 4.90 DEX mode.

It hasn't been certified on HFW 4.84.2 DEX. In theory it could be compatible. But some HEN exceptions could be causing issues, due they were coded with CEX in mind.

If you plan to use webMAN MOD, I suggest to try first the lite edition.

You could also check sMAN or the original webMAN plugin, since 4.84 DEX use the same LV2 offsets of 4.82.

It does not work, like aldos said the exploit was made for cex in mind. I have tested a few different versions of webman and none seem to operate. With hen enabled I wasnt able to get any homebrew at all to launch. But if you sign some of the older applications like the blackbox ftp you can get them running on official dex without the hen

I just collect the hardware and make game cheats, I offer my systems to be abused by the nerds when I can but I am definitely not qualified to help in any way that actually counts. I just try to keep the hardware available

I did a quick review to the code and I couldn't identify why HFW DEX is not working. It could be an issue the way the sprx is signed or maybe something else. Anyway without a test system it is very hard to debug & fix.
