PS3 Downgrading from 4.85 CFW to 2.80 OFW?

Thank you all for helping me! I finally managed to update to 2.80!
I installed 3.55 Rogero Downgrader and I installed 2.80 via Recovery and all good!

Can the same method be downgraded to official 1.00?

I don't think it will let you do it over XMB since you got a system with NAND flash. Try recovery mode.

FYI. the lowest I made with my CECH-E01 was 0.95 DEX via FSM. I went straight from 4.84 to 0.95 (which isn't recommended).

You don't have to convert, but it won't be out of the box experience. I think you'll have to create an MFW unless you want to use FSM method on CEX.

Yea I was able to go down to 1.02 via FSM. Is DEX the same lv2diag? I'd like to try 0.95.

Yes you can do FSM while on DEX, however I wouldn't recommend :P

Yea 4.21 to 0.95 is kinda scary on a nand console and it being DEX. 3.55.4 Rebug to 1.02 CEX OFW was scary enough might pass on that

Yes, as long as you have enabled QA Flags you can install any update PUP. Just make sure that its properly name and that is the CFW version that you want to install.

What do you mean by "recovery enabled"?. There is no such thing as recovery enabled or disabled.

Recovery mode is just a special mode used to fix minor issues with the console.

Yes, I meant recovery mode. If it's not needed then good. I will go back to 4.86.

No, not needed at all if you have set the QA Flags. Just run the update from XMB -> Settings -> System Update as always and you should be good to go.

Hello, Im trying to downgrade to OFW 2.80 on my 2001A Slim (min ver 2.70) through CEX rogero 3.55 downgrader and when i go put in the 2.80 PUP i keep getting "No applicable update data found". I have QA already enabled but it still refuses to accept the PUP file, what could be going on?

If anyone experiences this in the future you just need to turn on debug update
