Error 80029513 on Homebrew

Megabyte

Forum Noob
Hey,
So today i found out about HEN so i got my old PS3 out and installed it. It was bit of a headache but when i actually read the guide it worked out. The first piece of homebrew i installed was Irisman which works perfectly. But then i wanted to play Sly Cooper so i followed the guide and when i install the PS2 Classics Placeholder and when i launch it i get the error "The copyright protection information is invalid. (80029513)". I tried signing the package but to no avail.

Ok bud we need a little more info but make sure you read the rules before replying. Piracy talk isn't allowed here. So with that I have to ask first did you install the rap file for PS2 Classics Launcher?

Then have you checked the compatibility of the game? It may need a CONFIG file and it must be encrypted for HEN. I will post a nice pack @Joonie was nice enough to make with all the existing ones out there.

And speaking which is your ISO encrypted? If not when you launch it will cause a database rebuild. As unecrypted games are supported. There are two ways to do this one with @aldostools ps3tools set or the standalone PS2 Classics GUI. This is how you would do it with a PC. Or you can install multiMAN 4.70.00 but if you have a newer version you will need to delete it first. This function was removed in newer versions. Just place your ISO in PS2ISO folder then switch the standard multiMAN mode in the far right column from mMCM mode. Then go to the Retro column and you will press O button and convert to ISO.BIN.ENC and this will make a HEN compatible version. Then mount with multiMAN or webMAN then launch with PS2 Classics Launcher, I suggest @habib version found HERE this is the full version with the needed rap file.

Hope this helps and once I get a few I'll post the CONFIG pack that is already encrypted.

Ok so,
There is no piracy here i ripped the game off my disc. The game is compatible according to the wiki, and i did encrypt it. But the compatibility doesn't matter here because i cant get into the emulator in general. Fresh install of HEN and a fresh install of the emulator. Now i got my PKG off the All in One HEN guide which did not come with a RAP. I have searched around and i cannot find the file. Sorry i didn't read your entire post. Thanks

My bad, I indeed forgot to write about the Ps2 Classics Placeholder RAP in my guide.
This must be copied to a folder named exdata on the root of your USB drive.
Then, just start ps2 placeholder and HEN will auto generate a licence from the RAP on t your USB drive. Once this is complete, you can delete the RAP file on your USB

It's in my reply buddy click the link that is in the "HERE" portion of my above text.

I have the exact problem. With or without a PS2 bin.enc mounted, I still get the 80029513 error, and I followed everything @atreyu187 said. I have exdata containing the universal rap on my USB root, plus I have an encrypted PS2 Classic game. I tried both ReactPSN and PSNPatch but they both don't seem to change a thing and the problem persists. I am on HEN 2.1.1 and I really want to play NFS MW

I FIXED IT! Activate your system from Account Management in PSN section. Activate 'game' and then try again. It worked this way for me.

Edit: Also to mention, if you are caught in a situation where you cannot activate your PS3 (You get an error), delete your current user and make a new user and sign in to that using your normal account and try activating again.
