PS3 error 80029514

Hi, I cleaned and changed the thermal paste on my PS3 slim and after trying to play a PS3 game (code bo1), it ended up giving error 80029514 and it says I should activate the system, this error probably appeared because I changed the CMOS battery, since when turning on the console, it asked me to adjust the date and time. Playing ps1 games doesn't cause the error, I tried logging into my psn account (the first activation of the system was done through psn, I created the account, logged into it, etc.) but I must update the system, since I'm on 4.90 and I use CFW Evilnat. Should I update to 4.91 and then log in to my PSN account?

You can update to FW 4.91 and login to PSN in order to activate the console, or you can use Evilnat's CFW Tools in order to create a fake activation.

Bear in mind that the former will allow you to use your savefiles, licences and trophies as the activation will use the same console and PSN account information (if you didn't change anything).

well. Is Evilnat 4.91 safe to use? I saw that it is in beta and that's why I hesitated to update. And what did you mean by "if you didn't change anything"?

Evilnat 4.91 is still in testing phase, but it's pretty stable now.

Regarding your question, if you change your console ID, use another PSN account or even another local user on your PS3, your activation may produce a different ID than the previous one used to bind your trophies, licences and savegames to your account.

ohh I understand. I'll wait until a full version of Evilnat comes out. I'll create a new user and a new PSN account to see if it works, I'll be back soon, thank you!
