Error Mounting ISO From PS3NETSRV

X-Savior

Forum Noob
Hey Everyone,

I have a strange issue and Aldo suggested I post here asking for help.

Right now I am running Rebug 4.81 CEX and latest Webman (1.45.05). I also have the latest MultiMan for 4.81 as well. I am also using the latest PS3NETSRV as well from Aldo's Repo (Posted with Webman 1.45.05)

I am able to FTP into the PS3 and Upload the IDO's into PS3ISO and they mount and play just fine. But if I try and mount and play them from my File Server (Server 2016) it will give an error (I also had tried it on Server 2012R2 with same result).

Here is the error I get:

This Operation Is Not Allowed
ISO type: 32
ISO Path I: path on net_host
ISO Path O: same Path to ISO
ISO SEGS: 1

ERROR: 80011905 (UNKNOWN ERROR)

I am able to browse to NET_HOST and see the ISO's and I can try and mount them there also and I get the same result.

I know this is not a Firewall issue or port issue (I have checked all the usual settings). Is there a missing general PS3 config or something (I am running in Rebug Mode with Cobra enabled)? My PS3 used to work just fine on an older Rebug and PS3NetSrv in early 2016. I had to Flash and downgrade my PS3 when I had an OFW update mishap this summer. Now I am back with my system downgraded to 3.55 then Rebug CEX up to 4.81

I hope someone can help me.

Thank you so much!

The error you are getting is with multiman.. What about webMAN-MOD?
Have you tried setting the "scan for lan games" option in setup.ps3? If not, set up wMM as required for net usage, save the settings then use Refresh XML or prepNTFS to refresh the wMM games list. You may want to reboot too...

Ok great thank you. I will try this.

I have Webman mod 1.45.05 installed but when I launch it all it does is reboots the PS3. Should it be taking me to a new menu?

Ok so my scan for LAN games is set with proper IP address. The games show up just fine in MultiMan as well as the Webman Games section (where it shows PS3 games and PS2 games and ect). Everything seems to work perfect except the actual mounting of the ISO when you select it.

I am just tying to figure out how to use Webman-Mod. Do I need to disable the auto loading of Webman in Rebug?

When I choose Webman-Mod in games section all it does is reboots the PS3 (I have no idea how to get to "Webman-Mod" to use it).

Ok I looked at the top of my Webman settings and it says it is Webman-Mod 1.45.05

So it looks like I am using it already :/

I found out how to load the ISO in Webman-Mod and it loads the ISO fine and then it launches fine.

It is a less "intuitive" way to load the games (as I like having the Webman PS3 games folder to just pick a game).

So is there any fix for this? Is Webman Broken?

Thank you

Ok there is a weird bug in Webman or whatever

Since I manually loaded the first ISO in side of Webman Mod now all ISO are loading from the normal Games/Webman Games/PS3 Games section where before I got the error.

No clue guys but doing this first manual ISO mount seems to have fixed the problem now.

Thank you for the help!

You are welcome.

I have not understood everything about your problem, no webman games list on xmb?

From your posts I think you are confusing webMAN-MOD with the webMAN-MOD updater app. The updater you installed with the pkg is not webMAN-MOD, it installs webMAN-MOD. That's why the ps3 reboots actually, to finish the installation & start webMAN-MOD.. Lol
Once webMAN-MOD is installed, it will start on boot. You can remove the webMAN-MOD installer app from your XMB, you do not need it anymore.

WebMAN-MOD cannot be launched like multiman or irisman, it's a http server plugin actually.
You use the browser or gamepad button combos to access webMAN-MOD & its features.
On XMB->Games->Webman Games->Webman Setup you get the shortcuts to webMAN-MOD setup page & other functions.
Once the setup page is completed properly & the settings are saved with the save button at the bottom of the page, you can then use the Refresh Xml function. After that, reboot & check your XMB->Games->Webman Games folders, the games are listed there & can be mounted with the X button.
Anyway am glad it works now.

The webMAN-MOD game list on XMB gets updated when you use Refresh XML. You should reboot to make sure the elements are reloaded properly.

Note that if you don't add/remove games all the time you should disable the "scan for content on startup" option. This way you gain a lot of time on boot but the game list update must be updated manually with a Refresh Xml every time you add/remove a game....

The webman games folder on XMB contains the categories you choose to scan for in the setup page.
Every setting in the setup page is important so you should learn about them.

I recommend that you read the OP of the webMAN-MOD General Information thread on this forum.

Yes I will do some reading.

From what I can tell is this error occurs on "First Install". For some reason when you load your first ISO from within Webman-Mod Settings (games) section it will then mount the ISO properly. Once this has been completed then you can load any ISO from the normal Webman Games Section (Not from within the Webman Settings) and they work. Prior to doing this all ISO would fail with that error. Something to do with making that initial ISO mount corrects some problem in Webman that exists from the "first time Install" state. To me it looks like when you first install the game it is not corretly setup (even though you configure the setup.ps3 properly).

I will open another thread for another question now about PSN and ect.

Thanks

Am dubious...
I have never had this problem & I don't recall members having it either in the past year.

Im having the same problem.
I have a zyxel 310 nas with ps3netsrv running and untill the last rebug cfw mmcm was running fine all my isos. Never had a problem.
Updated to 4.81.1 and mmcm sees my isos but gives me the same error message as x-savior,
Thought maybe mmcm needed update to support latest cfw but again nothing.
Tried webman and all is working fine.
Some mentions of the problem here and there but no solution

I suggest you open Webman-MOD 1.45.05 and then go into settings section. Then go to "games" and it should show up the games. You can then mount the image from there first time. I went all the way into the game. Next I then unmounted the ISO and then went into the normal Webman folder in games on main OFW menu. You will see the games listed in PS3ISO section and this time you will be able to mount the ISO like normal.

I am positive there is a quirk in 4.81 CFW and /w latest Webman-MOD and Multi-Man and ect.

These steps works perfectly for me and now 4.81 works great.

We are aware of a problem between mmCM & ps3netsrv on Rebug 4.81.

Joonie is currently trying to find a reason for the issue, I have done much testing myself but after hours of searching for a possible cause we are still both empty handed for now.

We suggest that you use webMAN-MOD or Irisman for the moment.
They have both been found to work.

Btw @X-Savior, I have not been able to reproduce your problems with wMM despite several attempts.

@deank I'd really appreciate if you could explain why mmCM is so picky about netiso injection on rebug. I've been testing your official netsrv and mmCm as well as webMAN.

So far I have no clue why module verification on mmcm gives issues while webMAN does a fine job of it.

The Issue seems to be failure of cobra's slot0 handling for mmCM.

FYI, we never used slot0 for anything, webman is used with slot1 in general.

With the same payload, it works fine on habib 4.81 v1.02.

EDIT #1

So after spending some time on this, I came up to the conclusion there are two separate issues on going.

I ruled out the issue on CEX, it was caused by appldr inside lv0, which was unexpected because it didn't happen on 4.80.1 [CEX]

So this will be fixed for sure, however, another issue on DEX still remains.

Previously, we've been using this code in modulespatch.c as it was default since 4.46

Code:
LV2_HOOKED_FUNCTION_COND_POSTCALL_2(int, pre_modules_verification, (uint32_t *ret, uint32_t error))
{
// Patch original from psjailbreak. Needs some tweaks to fix some games
DPRINTF("err = %x\n", error);
if (error == 0x13)
{
//dump_stack_trace2(10);
//return DO_POSTCALL; // Fixes Mortal Kombat <- DON'T DO IT
}
*ret = 0;
return 0;
}

This was original code wrote by COBRA team,

but we found out this causes unexpected hanging on loading VSH [DEX] only,

the issue was introduced with @Rancid-o 's very first PS3ITA 4.55 COBRA edition.

and then there was REBUG 4.53.1 leaked as well.

Our very first official REBUG 4.65.2 had the exact same problem as well. so we ended up fixing this by following

Code:
LV2_HOOKED_FUNCTION_COND_POSTCALL_2(int, pre_modules_verification, (uint32_t *ret, uint32_t error))
{
return DO_POSTCALL;
}

So currently, for CEX we use the original code, but DEX we use the code above, which causes the issue that @habib mentioned (currently presents in almost all REBUG DEX). however webMAN / webMAN MOD doesn't have this issue with netsrv, but mmCM only.

@deank I'm wondering if you could shed us light for this. Thanks in advance!

Issue caused by multiman netiso being encrypted with drm keys
We removed modules verification patch due to people complaining about vsh hang on rebug dex
Best way=multiman uses new netiso encrypted with local appldr keys @deank fyi
This would allow me even to remove that ugly hack thus improving games compatibility

To sum up,

For some reason on DEX, appldr fail occurs when Cobra's trying to verify net_view.bin used by mmCM (net_iso.sprx).

However it works fine on CEX as long as appldr doesn't include fself patch

The reason why it worked on previous REBUG (CEX only) and the latest Habib 4.81 is that because of fself patch being not applied.

On both DEX/DECR, the issue with nethost on mmCM happens regardless (even with the original code of modulespatch.c)

So now we're down to couple options.

1. We could try to intercept the net_view.bin replaced with the working one from webMAN

2. It'd be nice if the master @deank could help us out with this :)

The best thing is obviously that multiman updates its netiso or rawiso with local appldr keys because current keys are illegal

Furthermore @haxxen your appldr patch is bad, idk spu asm tbh so i cant help there

What we could do rn is either remove fself patch+enable illegal keys support(bad idea maybe)
Fself patch+redirection of net_view.bin(workaround)
Fix fself patch+Remove illegal keys support(improving compatibility and stability)+redirection of net view almost best idea
Fix fself+Remove illegal keys support+@deank updates multiman with latest netiso and rawiso with no drm keys(best)

Just tried the @habib's suggestion to fix this 80011905 error caused by COBRA's drm on net_view.bin from mmCM.

WORKS!

Here's what I did

I compiled the netiso.sprx from the official COBRA7 source, it's available here
https://github.com/Joonie86/Cobra-7.00/tree/master/446/EXTRA/netiso

and put that in the following path [dev_flash/sys/netiso.sprx] < - just for testing

and added the suggested code by @habib in prx_load_vsh_plugin from modulespatch.c
https://github.com/Joonie86/COBRA-7.3/blob/master/481/REX/SRC/stage2/modulespatch.c#L1047

Code:
 if(strcmp(path, "/dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/TEMP/net_view.bin")==0)
 {
  strcpy(path, "/dev_flash/sys/netiso.sprx");
 }

And here's the log from socat xD

Syscall 8 -> 7020
Syscall 8 -> 7023
open_path /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/TEMP/net_view.bin
open_path /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/TEMP/net_view.bin
Syscall 8 -> 1ee7
open_path /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/TEMP/net_view.bin
open_path /dev_flash/sys/netiso.sprx

err = 7
err = 7

open_path /dev_flash/sys/netiso.sprx
open_path /dev_bdvd

Storage event: 7 0 101000000000006

Storage event: 3 0 101000000000006
real disc type = 0
effective disc type = ff71, fake disc type = ff71
open_path /dev_bdvd

And the issue is gone!

@deank it would be very nice if you could update mmCM with unprotected netiso inside mmCM, then all DEX users will be happy :)

FYI @aldostools @Rancid-o @Zar @habib @haxxxen

@dionysg @X-Savior
Obviously as you can see the issue with mmCM & ps3netsrv is getting solved.
Fix now works for Cobra.
Depending on deank's answer, a fix may also be applied in mamba. A mmCM update is also possible.
MmCM & ps3netsrv will be working on CEX & DEX mode on Rebug very soon...
I think you can expect a Rebug CFW update in the near future....[emoji6]

This is amazing work. Nice to see the team working together.

I too am a programmer for an open source game and the collaboration I see brings me back to the golden years in our development.

Thank you everyone for your hard work and tireless commitment (I know all too well about this commitment).

Thank you!

Deank has now changed mmCM to integrate drm free netiso. From now on, no need for a further fix in Cobra & Mamba.
Expect deank to release the multiman update soon.. Probably 4.81.2.?
You will need to use this update for mmCM to work with ps3netsrv on Rebug (cex or dex) or PS3ITA.

Thread problem solved.
