PS3 Fat CECHG04 4.25 OFW to CFW

good morning, could you explain to me how to install the CFW 4.90 Evilnat Cobra 8.4 [CEX] on my ps3 fat cechg04 running the original firmware 4.25? the guides I found are rather confusing, some say that I can install it directly, others that it is necessary to carry out steps, I would like to be sure of not causing damage.

WARNING: OFW 4.91 just rolled out so DO NOT UPDATE via PS3's System Update nor download the OFW from Sony's website.


First, I would recomend you to install OFW 4.82 (download it from here).

Then, run BgToolset xploit tool and apply the patch. You can follow this tutorial: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/guide-jailbreaking-with-bgtoolset.33461/

Read it very carefully before attempting anything. If you have any doubts, ask them here.

Once you have read the tutorial, applied the patch and reboot your console, you may install any CFW 4.82 or higher. Here is the link for Evilnat's CFW 4.90.
 
thanks, I did everything, I just have to install the cfw via recovery because from xmb it tells me damaged data but I have to recover a sixaxis or ds3 because with ds4 I can't use recovery
