Yep same sfiii2 rom. I have ssf2u but fbneorl+ doesn't seem to detect it, including xmvsfur1 ( xmen vs marvel i think), mshvsfu (marvel vs street fighter)

Only one visible is sfiii2 through the menu, and all the zips are in the same "fba" named folder

Thanks! Managed to crackdown on what it was. For some reason bilinear filtering was on under video. Though the only thing that remains is the audio slowdown. I kept going back and forth between retroarch fbalpha and fbneorl+ but couldn't find any differences in the configs when it came to audio.

Remember that Vodeo->Bilinear Filtering is made by Cell CPU with impact on performace.
Better use of a shader filter that is made by RSX chip in hardware.

Wouldn't turning it off reduce impact on performance? Even when it was on or off, there was still an slight audio slowdown during either gameplay or when after you select a character, that transition to Vs. has a little bit of it. Though switching to fb alpha, there isn't any audio slowdown or stutter.

It will be your choice. If you will put rom set mame 0.125 inside a folder named MAME125 then it will run using mame core 0.125, if you will put a modern rom set (fbneo compatible) in a different named folder then it will run using fbneo core.

Good.
After burner 2 and raiden dx has emulation problems -slow speed and sound, respectively. In fbneo pc emulation is ok.

Libretro core are exactly the same. Amiga core is a bit different, E-UAE is 10-20% faster than libretro P-UAE.
FBNeo RL Plus is just a frontend.

I tested Mame 0.125 Roms SET from archive.org and still got "wrong romset" errors.
Also:
-Dream Soccer 94 runs a little slow (tried fba and MAME125).
