PS3 Filesystem check fix on drives over 9XXGB?

I wonder if there is any fix for the broken "filesystem check" for big "non supported" but formateable drives for CFW PS3 consoles.
 
There is not as I tried a 2tb internal and 1.75tb internal both worked fine till a crash. But I have a 1.5tb that works great and will do file system check without needing to format. That being said it doesn't work on my CECH-2501B as it makes me format but my NAND based systems works perfectly. Unless the source for the OS is leaked not much we can do.
