PS4 fpkg game installed a official update

thats right, a fpkg game (ghost of tsushima) installed a official update and now ofw 9.0 is required to play`. does anyone know how this is possible? im on a pro with 7.55 and was using goldHEN 2.0b. played a little yesterday as i was tring out the binloader loader, was seeing if i could attach debug, sleep and reattach debug and that was working. woke up and wanted to try a few other things and noticed a update was installed. my sustem is not spoofed in anyway and i have updates disabled ( i know its for system update, just throwing it out there)
let me know your ideas. i have reached out to others but they seem not to care or are too busy.\thanx in advance
 
based on info, gold hen ignores fw check so you can install any package, even future packages that will required fw 9.00+
 
I dont know how you did you manage to get that update installed on your PS4 without even the official game (not fpkg) game is installed. after all, PS4 will just complain installing that update with a installation failed error, yeah sure it downloads the update but certainly not install it.

but hey if this is a official game disc you were playing on jailbroken ps4, well. you have no choice but to uninstall the update using orbispatcher and after that use, al_azif DNS to block the any connection to sony servers so that includes the software and game updates.

its a fpkg i made myself. there was no game disk in console. i will try some more tomorrow, all previous hens would download update but "cant install" thats why im so shocked that one actually install. i have 150 other game updates that failed.

this is the only game i played on hen 2.0 so i will try some more games in the morning to see if updates install or not to confirm bypassing of firmware check. tbh the more i think about it the more it makes sense. i will play more games in the morning to see what will happen.

if i use a dns blocker then i can use netcheat or ps4cheate or multitrainer right?

Unlike PS3 to download a game update, the console must be connected to PSN, which is not possible on lower firmwares, so i doubt this is the case, probably you installed the Official update via USB and not a backported one, just use a payload with DEX features and you will be able to remove the update ONLY, There are some homebrews that has this ability too, but i don't remember their names now.
