Hi,
i wanted to try the exfat compatible opl, because fragmentation was a pain, i made a fat32 partition for the elfs, and a exfat partition for opl. But when i plug the hdd in, i cannot get trough fmcb boot logo. I havent had problems like this when the drive was fully fat32. I use a slim ps2, 9000x

Apparently it only recognizes it when there is only one partition.
Defragmenting your disk, more than a "nuisance" should be an important task as part of its maintenance.
Any honest technician will tell you.

FMCB freezing in trying access to exFAT because it doesn't support it and assuming it is FAT12/16/32. You can insert USB later, after OSDSYS has been loaded (because on start, FMCB seeking recovery stuff on USB).

Or You can replace FMCB by PS2BBL. There is somewhere on @El_isra github, an OpenTuna with PS2BBL.
