Games showing black screen on PS3 Slim Hen 2.2.1

Hey guys, I'm bit of a noob so bear with me.
I have a ps3 slim with hen 2.2.1 and the compatible Multiman installed. I play games on it, it works fine, but just yesterday i installed Crysis 3 and COD advanced warfare, they were in folders, i copied them from my external hdd to the ps3 internal hdd to the GAMES folder as i always do, i opened them, they came in the xmb menu, and when i opened them from there it just froze on a black screen.

Help me out please

Convert them to ISO and give it a try. ISO has 100% compatibility. You can convert with either multiMAN or on PC. Just next time you rip your games rip to ISO not folder format.

Through multiman or through any iso converter in my laptop? I'll give it a try. I tried Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist and it wasn't working either, blackscreen. I'm trying another game now.

Does it work now? i too have trouble getting them running i have about 10 games running without any issues and they are jb format crysis 3 just black screen and freezes found this thread when searching for the fix.

Look at the date of the post before yours, exactly 1 year

Converting the PS3 games to ISO sometimes solves rare problems in a few known problematic games
But before that what you need to do is a IRD check to the game files

Haha i know this post was posted a year back but i didn't check the date thanks i will try converting to iso using irisman tried with multiman got black screen again.

The ISO's created by irisman and managunz are different than the ISO's created by multiman... so yeah... it worths a try

But before creating the ISO you should check the IRD, this is the only way to see if the game files are like the originals dumped from the original disc
To do the IRD check you need to download the IRD file for your game from here ---> http://jonnysp.bplaced.net/
And you can perform the IRD check in PC with the "PS3 ISO rebuilder" tool mentioned in that same web

Another way to perform a IRD check is in PS3 by using managunz, it have an option to download the IRD for your game from the online databases, and managunz will start checking it... at the end of the check is going to tell if the game files passed the IRD check successfully

Thanks a lot i didn't know there is something called IRD and found that game files had mismatching md5 checksum before that i tried with irisman same blackscreen then i decided to do a title update and bingo game worked fine i don't know whats wrong with the old EBOOT anyway game is now running fine.
