PS3 Get game audio sound from Headset Bluetooth & USB (not only in chat)

noted, But I wanted to know if there was any way to force a2dp mode as someone in the same thread says. Don't have a usb headset with me haha
i dont know what you mean by "a2dp"?

all this mod does is swap the game audio and voice chat streams.

we dont have the code so it cant be changed and recompiled. this is really a "patch".

Hi
I don't know if they already asked this, but...
It works very well for me, but when I turn up the volume on the headphones / earphones, I hear a little noise (more volume, more noise). Is this happening to someone else? Is there any solution?

By the way, great job, congratulations!
And sorry for my bad english

Hi
Does the quality of the headphones influence the quality of the audio that it will give us?

For example, some Hyperx Cloud Revolver will be heard as if you connected them to a PC, I mean, does it respect the quality of the headphones?

The solution was to change the sound card

it only works in-game (or homebrew), not on xmb. you may have to change settings in "audio device settings" (below "manage bluetooth devices").

I know that but here is the problem im facing. I installed the pkg with hen enabled. Went and connected my speaker and when i set the audio output to JBL Charge 3 it connects for half a sec and disconnects. Is that a problem with the speaker not being comoatable with the ps3 or i messed something up?

maybe this will work (maybe not?)...start a game then press PS buton, goto settings and enable it. see if it stays connected then.

it may just be incompatable.

I installed this, 4.86 HEN v3.0.1 HeadSet Patch +Disable Auto-Update, on HFW 4.86

But I'm not seeing any app added. The 'Game Audio Mod - Main Menu' app. I don't see a shortcut to that anywhere.

That shortcut is for CFW, you don't need that on HEN. Just select your headset in audio device setting. It will work

I tried it with CoD Ghosts, it did not work. (At least within game menu. At lobby I could hear ppl talking in the headset. I want them to talk on TV and i just mute that and have game out of headset) It does detect the device at least. I'm using a USB to Headphone dongle

Update: In Gran Turismo 6 it does display the menu/game music thru the headphones. If i try to play 'User BGM' it comes out of TV thou...

Update 2: Using a different USB to Headphone device (that also remaps a mouse/keyboard to PS3 controller ;) ) - Audio is re-routed in CoD Ghosts as well.

Checked the 'Amazon Prime' video app. Works there too :)

Hey hello, I have a question; does the audio quality come out like the Sony Gold or is it lower?
no. it is low-quality for bluetooth devices. it is somewhat better for usb headphones (not sure how much better as i only have bluetooth).

this hack redirects the game sounds to voice chat stream. that makes it mono and highly compressed so quality suffers.

I use a HyperX cloud alpha with a usb sound card, and personally I did not like the audio, they do not sound so crystal clear, for this reason I ask if they sound better or worse than the Sony Gold

Isn't there any way to turn down the volume while using an USB adapter? It has a volume controller in it but it doesn't seem to work on PS3, and it sounds waaaay too loud.

Not sure if it'll work, but you could try lowering the mic's volume from Audio Device Setting.

Not quite, the only solution that I found was connecting a 3.5 mm cable (both male end) from the USB sound card to the line-in port in my pc, and it works flawlessly.
