PS3 Going online from a banned console?

I haven't gone online since my console and main account (huge RIP) were banned a couple years back. Eventually down the road I'm just gonna buy another one to polish up and start using online but in the meantime how can I get online with my current console? Currently running Evilnat 4.89. Thank you.

Since you're console banned, the only way you'll be able to get back online is if you obtain a new IDPS/CID from another PS3 (preferably the same model).

Information about what a IDPS/CID is and how to obtain it from a console can be found on the PS3 dev wiki (https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/IDPS)

I got another IDPS and PSID, now I assume I use webMAN MOD to change it on my console? This won't cause any problems with disabling CFW syscalls right?

Just curious, why did you get banned?

Cause I was an idiot. I did everything you're not supposed to do. Ran homebrew online, cheated, modded my profile comment, other things...

At the time I couldn't find any guidance related to decreasing the odds of ban, so I didn't know about disabling CFW syscalls. I should have known better than to use my main though. Generally speaking I fucked around and found out. RIP me I suppose.

EDIT: Typo. Or autocorrect. macOS autocorrect likes to F%$# things up.

You can use homebrew like IDPSet to permanently change the IDPS on a system, although I've heard that it can cause incompatibility issues occasionally. You're better off just spoofing it in memory automatically on system boot using PSNPatch/SENenabler/webMAN.

There's loads of tutorials/resources online explaining how to do this, so won't post any specific guide here.

I looked into webMAN MOD's settings and did it there. Also discovered that I can mount my games, then disable syscalls and sign in :)
