When will it be updated to work on OFW 4.89 so I can install it on my ps3 slim CECH 2007B and I'm getting a PS3 Phat Soon
Btw I hate HEN it's too buggy it keeps crashing my ps3 slim

It's because HEN is buggy on 4.89. I think bguerville said he wants to prioritize stabilizing HEN on 4.89 before he works on bgtoolset.

4.80 to 4.88 work currently. try setting time automatically over internet (make sure you choose correct time zone). also try a different internet connection if possible.

I cannot set time via internet. If i try to do it from XMB it asks me to "Update your system". I cannot log into PSN ,same thing. I checked my router settings and PS network settings. Everything should work fine. I even tried to connect with ethernet cable. Same as above.

Yea i did. Correct timezone and time, still nothing I even tried to connect using android hotspot. Sites using SSL won't work.

esc0rtd3w gave an update about about a week and a half ago.

We tried getting bgtoolset back online during August, September and October while having a multitude of problems from the new hosting. As of right now, bguerville is the only one who can get it setup on the server. He is currently not available, and I'm not sure when he will be able to further contact hosting.

I can keep everyone up to date through here and also I have been updating the alert box on ps3xploit.me to show the current situation.

I have been trying to contact him, but he is currently unavailable. The last message I received said he will try to get it back online but has some family stuff to take care of right now.

Well, esc0rtd3w said "the last message I received said" but did not say when that message was. From the way he phrased his message it's probably not too recent, which means that he probably hasn't responded to anyone since October, which definitely isn't a good sign.
"Family stuff" is also not a good sign, actually, that's the worst sort of personal issues I can think of. It can include even nasty stuff like divorce or really terrible stuff like a family member getting hospitalized, in which case being super selfish and nagging him about bgtoolset is the worst thing one can do.
I seriously doubt any of us can help bguerville with whatever he's going through and since your message makes my doubts about bgtoolset ever coming back even greater than before, we need to continue working on another method.

I'll try to get a guinea pig console and a flasher next month if it'll help you guys.

As it looks for the alternative method being developed like they need some more development & testing time for something like that as that is not a rushed type of release, but alternative are good they would of been helpful the past few months no doubt
but alternative might be on the back burner quickly as a secondary option.
but is a useful option to have around if succeeds but they still have not lined up all the test candidates yet
So there is more development likely when other models are tested and potential issues may be found., in other words there is likely alot more work to be done before it ready for user's in regards to the Alternative method. . However its hard to judge something we have only seen a screen of to this point. So who knows it might be the foundation for something great.

I do not know when the toolset will be opened again, but i believe we will see it online sooner then later.

Like I say you can only go by what's actually happened, and what's happened is that the BG Toolset has been offline for many months. With little recent contact one has to assume that something has happened. This may be that he has bigger issues to deal with and simply can't devote his time to getting the toolset online. From the information given above i would say it "may" come back but not anytime soon. It seems we are relying on one person to get this back up and running and for something this big that's ludicrous. I believe now is the time to look into alternative ways to get custom firmware on our beloved phat and early revision slim PS3 consoles.

From everything that I've been reading throughout the forum, I really do trust STLcardsWS. I have no reason not too. I think if he says that he feels like it will be back, it will be back.

We need to remember that all these modding things that people do is a passion for them. They enjoy it and it helps the community. I don't see why it wouldn't come back

AFAIK Nobody has heard from bguerville for over a month, and the last communication with him he said he has family issues, which could be anything (I really hope it's nothing super serious).
Although STL claims he's convinced I have to say that personally I'm not convinced it's ever coming back, but we do have people working on alternatives. Will probably take a while though because it needs thorough testing.

The first time I have got hold of a Cech 3003B (always had 25xx or lower - lucky me)
Never installed hen. Always lucky with cfw
With the access needed to the website, does this mean you can't install hen without it?
