i see. So even if i synch trophies by making use of a pendrive and a pc i will still get a minimal ban risk by using hen without connecting to psn?
Of course not.
The risks reside only in PSN connections with a customised system, nothing else.
If you never use PSN, there is 0 risk.

If it's that important to you & you are paranoid about losing your account, you could for instance, once every 6 months or every year, go back to OFW temporarily & sync your trophies on PSN then go back to HFW/HEN and rely on usb/pc to keep regular trophies backup.
Whatever you choose, you now know the basics, I suggest you read about either HEN or HAN now, videos will only tell you so much, you will soon realise that it won't be enough.
There is much information to digest for a noob, don't rush, take your time to understand the things you are doing.
And remember that the more powerful the jailbreak the more damage you can potentially do to your console, it is like becoming an admin on a computer...
If you install HEN, you will get many new capabilities & the ability to run custom code but the price to pay is that you must be careful not to run code that could brick your console, partially or fully.

ok, im pretty sure that i understood it now.
two ways of synching trophies safely: 1- the method breion mentioned by making a backup of the trophies and then synching them in pc. 2- going back to ofw by installing the latest official update of ps3 using a pendrive, synching them and then repeat all the process to install hen.

That would be the 2 safest ways yes.
For good measure, remember to clean the history files with a tool like webMAN-MOD when on HEN before installing OFW.

Don't hesitate to post in the HEN tutorial thread if you need help with it, always give as much details as you can when asking for help & someone should be able to help you.
Good luck with it all.

well, there are a lot of things to take in mind to do this succesfully. i will install hen when im done with assassins creed 4 online mode trophies, which will take long since there is almost no people to do some dlc trophies :/. When this happens i will ask again some questions, and hopefully you will be there to answer them. Thanks a lot for all the time you put into helping me, I will be able to stop spending money in ps3 games and dlcs all thanks to you and breion. See you and have a good night/day :)

No problem.

I didn't say that. "Breion" said that You cannot syncing trophies on PC with SEN... You can backup trophies on USB/USB>>PC. And You cannot backup trophies on PS3. That's different.

Super slim PS3 models are not compatible with any CFW; HEN is your only option on those models.

hm a way around it is there any chance
With malfunctioning BT/Wifi/Ethernet or BD, you can no longer update the console & a number of system features can no longer work. There is no way around fixing the hardware if you wish your console to work properly.

But if there is a HEN installer/enabler available for your firmware version, you might be able to run it, no guarantee that it will work ok though.

I'll try to fix it I have a high school diploma in electrical engineering as a micro soldering I just wanted to try if it will work without it BT I have to order the part from aliexpress ?

I am not the best person to ask about this stuff, some of our members who dabble in hardware fixing/modding should be able to give you the tips & pointers you need to fix your BT issue, they have been doing a fantastic job on researching a number of crucial hardware issues.
I suggest you create your own thread or post in one the various ongoing ps3 hardware related threads & ask for their help.
You can refer to the wiki for technical specs & details.

Are you sure the BT is completely broken? Try this if you haven't:

Once the firmware installation is looping (when it tells you to reboot the ps3), power-off the console and un-plug the power cord. Leave it un-plugged for at least one or two hours to be sure.
Then connect the power cord again and immediately power-on the console. There are chances the firmware installation process will finish.

While I'll gladly help where I can you should post your own thread so it doesn't get over looked. We are going to need a bit more info. What firmware are you running? Where are the games your trying to play located? External? If so what size and file format is the drive? Just to many variables and not enough info. Trust me it is better to give info not needed then to not give enough to help. So welcome to the site but try your own post with as much info as you can muster up.

I don't know how multiMAN creates the dumps of PS1 games as I make them myself on a PC, but I've stepped upon lots of issues with PS1 games in ISO format. The solution for PS3 is to dump them in CUE/BIN format.

hey people, hopefully you are doing well. i have a doubt related to psn connection and ban risk. basically, it would be nice to play the online mode of a game that im currently playing offline because im not connected to the psn servers since i want 0 ban risk. the thing is that i recently thought about the following:
creating a completely new psn account, installing via hen the games i want to play in that account, then going back to my main account (the one in which i have all my trophies and stuff), connect to psn, and play the game that i installed in the new account with my main account online.
By doing this, will the risk of getting banned affect my new psn account (the one in which i installed the game) or the account that im playing the game with at the moment (my main account)?

I particullary care about the ban risk thing since i intend to use my main account forever (i have been using it for already 4 years), and im aware that some people got banned years later of having hacked the ps3 via hen.

oh, and i forgot to add that the game im currently playing can be played without activating hen, if knowing that is worth for something
