hey people, hopefully you are doing well. i have a doubt related to psn connection and ban risk. basically, it would be nice to play the online mode of a game that im currently playing offline because im not connected to the psn servers since i want 0 ban risk. the thing is that i recently thought about the following:
creating a completely new psn account, installing via hen the games i want to play in that account, then going back to my main account (the one in which i have all my trophies and stuff), connect to psn, and play the game that i installed in the new account with my main account online.
By doing this, will the risk of getting banned affect my new psn account (the one in which i installed the game) or the account that im playing the game with at the moment (my main account)?
I particullary care about the ban risk thing since i intend to use my main account forever (i have been using it for already 4 years), and im aware that some people got banned years later of having hacked the ps3 via hen.
oh, and i forgot to add that the game im currently playing can be played without activating hen, if knowing that is worth for something
If you're going to connect to SEN/PSN or play online, you should do it with HEN disabled. It's like you're using OFW.
If HEN was already enabled, then you should disable the CFW syscalls using R2+TRIANGLE in webMAN MOD or using psnpatch plugin.
Nobody knows exactly the ban rules used by Sony. But the main known causes are:
- CFW syscalls must be disabled. Some games like CoD, GTA and others detect CFW syscalls and get you flagged.
- Don't play homebrews while you're online. They are visible for other users online and it's like to yell "Ban me, please!"
- Don't use IDPS/PSID obtained from Internet. Sellers usually sell the same IDPS to many persons.
- Don't use IDPS from other systems like PSP or random.
- Don't play online using mods, cheats or have a bad behavior against other gamers (fraud, threaten others, bullying, etc.)
The banning can be instant or take a few weeks after you have been flagged.
It could be temporary or permanent depending of the degree of the violation.
