PS2 Hacking the PS2

Only twice time (or maybe three). :P But I don't really need it any more in AIO as next version will not be "ESR patched" (because of incompatibility between ESR, FDVDB and Master Disc patching).
 
I think it would boot everywhere, if every patch is included.
If it's a DTL it runs due to the Masterdisc-patch, if nomod via FDVDB, if FMCB/FHDB via "tricks" lol...
 
FDVDB and ESR patches are incompatible (both using fake DVD-Video in UDF but in a way which making it not possible to coexist, at least as I thinking it works ^^).

I'm not sure but Master Disc patch makes disc not bootable on retail PS2 (but I need to confirm that).

yes they dont boot in retail ps2s. hopefully we get a new tool to master patch isos
 
What I have in mind: they don't boot not only on not hacked by any way retail PS2 (this should be obvious but just in case I pointing that ^^) but also not on i.e modchiped or via ESR (if ESR Patch was applied on top of Mater Disc patch). At least that what I hear, not tested myself as my ODD is dirty/dead.
 
Obviously Master-Discs don't work on non-modded Retail-PS2s.

I mean that the patches all together should not conflict with each other.

This is my first post and not sure how this works. I'm having alot good results with ripping games and getting them to play on USB even though in compatibility they say they only for certain devices. but I'm having a issue with enlarging my screen. Only show half the screen. Wanna how do I set it to full screen
 
I've tried the HD gsm setting and my screen then I have no picture. I am looking into a hdmi adapter for my ps 2. But not sure how to set it on my small flat screen tv
 
I have OPL manager 21.8 and when updating old cfg's my games still have no game info. Art works fine but when I check game info in OPL manager and on console there is no description, publisher, etc.. Is there something I'm missing?
 
anyone that as used freedvdboot i keep getting 1 of 3 problems. 1 disc read error 2. black screen when it shows up 3. loading disc for what seems like forever i am using a phat 3000001 ps2

  • Make sure your model is compatible.
  • The number you listed doesn't exist as a PS2-Model.
  • Sounds like reading-issues or it not being compatible with your model.
 
I am using a scph30001 and the dvd drive is 2.10U and i did check the website and it does say supported for that series of models.
 
It's not the "DVD drive", but the DVD-Player.
Alright... So it seems it has reading issues then!
