Han PS3 upgrade HDD error 8002f2cf

Hi all,

One of my ps3's was recently modded with Han (ofw) and worked perfectly. Last week i decided to upgrade hdd from 160 to 500gb and there comes the problems.

It asks me to install 4.82 or later, i put in the correct usb folder but cannot start and receive error message 8002f2cf which means that its either usb or hdd problem.

I have tried with other hard drives or stick but the same thing happens. Do i have to install another than the official sony ofw (don't think so because i am on han). I tried with cfw firmware on purpose to see error message but in this case looks like it doesn't find any firmware on stick (no error message but no upgrade starting) Am i doing something wrong ?

I can access safe mode but the same thing happens in option 6.

Any other suggested firmware to try ?

Try rebuild database, Restore filesystem, and then update.

I have done it but not in the order you describe. Probably update using the last option, will do.
I thought formatting the drive as fat32 might fool the system, although i read it is not necessary on slims (3xxxx)

It didnt work for me , I have same error and still I am having that error. I have ps3 slim 2004A with 3.40 so it means it can be jailbroken because it is lower than 3.56
