I know this might be the wrong place to post this, but I am growing desperate.

I am following every step in this website, but the farthest I got was Step 13.
Sometimes It will fail the export, sometimes It will freeze at "Preparing" and just now it froze at 45%.
I am using the Alternate Installer, because I'm unable to use the Auto HEN because my firmware version is not supported (I'm using the latest one, 4.92.1, so I dunno what it's talking about.)
I tried closing the browser and try again, and installing the HFW .PUP again, but nothing seems to be fixing the problem.
I'm considering using the HEN Enabler, but I am afraid that I will do further damage to my system if I continue to power off the PS3 every time it freezes.
Is anybody able to help me with this issue? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Also, do I have to wait for a long period of time when it says "Preparing", or do I have to wipe my entire system because of this?
