help please can't install any fw

I am not sure I understand your question.
There is no obvious problem with the pyps3checker results.
This is a dump from a console that was running Rebug REX 4.80, on top of which someone installed OFW or HFW 4.88 from the XMB menu or recovery mode. OFW & HFW have an identical CoreOS as only the silk_webkit.sprx file deployed on /dev_flash partition is different.
According to the dump check, at the time the dump was obtained, the console had never been patched to be able to reinstall CFW, any CFW installation would have failed, only a OFW/HFW 4.88 reinstallation from recovery mode should have been possible.

The problem is that my kid accidentally update console to ofw 4.88. After that i dump with e flasher and patch it. install rogero cfw and when try to install Evilnat 4.88 console stuck with some error and after this i cant install any fw. always get corrupted error
now i looking for 4.88 with md 36A0D80FB18E9D6FD7635217D59FA726

Why did you install an old Rogero CFW again?

Sorry I cannot really help with this, I haven't installed a Rogero CFW for years, I kinda forgot about any specifics if that's where the problem comes from.

If you are on Rogero now, maybe you could toggle QA & try to install OFW 3.55 then install the 4.8x CFW of your choice.
Perhaps someone else will have something else to suggest.

And maybe you should make a new dump (using a homebrew) & validate it, it may or may not help, but it would be good to confirm the Flash memory situation.

I'm off scene for years so this online is new for me. When i try install Evilnat, console stuck with loop error that instalation is canceled and system is attempting to install again. From this i have nothing, no xbm, cant install any fw. Maybe will help this hfw 4.88 but i cant fint it on internet.

Older method that always worked for me cfw Rogero downgrader 999 =>enable toggle qa old pkg=>cfw 3.7 spoof 4.21 Rogero =>4.86 habib. For some reason I couldn't install direct last 4.88 cfw evilnat. Testing one month ago or so . Also if you don't have original bdrom to be remarry with jig must be done right after cfw Rogero downgrader 999 is installed otherwise toggle qa isn't working.
This is always working for fixed units when I face software/patches issues and units won't install normally updates. I pach nands./nor via hardware flasher.
Edit
For best work environment all cfw are installed in recovery mode.

I try all this. Reogero downgrader, ofw 3.55, ofw 4.88, rebug 4.8,evilnat, no bd, no bt, but allways same. Error file corrupted.

Good so far now ofw is on unit? Do format hdd on pc, on his determination in pc format in mbr option, not gpt and try to get only ofw. Somehow you don't apply patch from ps3exploit server, once it is downloaded, if you go second time on that option for apply patch from https, go to recovery and install from there cfw 4.88. Usually usb port near to bdrom is usb000 if not try second USB. If that isn't working, you may be somehow on dex.

No. Rogero is last fw instaled. This is step by step what i do.
1 console was on rebug 4.80
2 son update console regulary from xbm to 4.88
3 i dump and flash bios with e 3 flasher
4 install rogero downgrader
5flag it
6 instal last rogero
7 try install evilnat 4.88 and then console stuck.

So you have e3 flasher? That should be easy to do. Unless some kind of weird written nor happen on pcb. Long time ago had one and realised e3 was only tool that is able to detect motherboard bga issues. In a defective glod board e3 won't work,or it will give all kind of errors, but won't let you write nor ic . Now if patch with old 355 fsm patches and install old classic way mentioned earlier 3 stages cfw always work.
Since that time always I've used e3 linker, never liked clips on board (always been afraid for deformation under bga ). In the end had to buy expensive tools and do reball.

I don't know if it helps with stuck of installation as I could miss or not understand something/everything but maybe this will help you:

  • It's not a same problem. From my point of view after reading is at least similar.
  • My sister resolved stuck of installation and error code information by using SSD (Toshiba) instead of pendrives (2xSony, 1xSanDisk). I cannot tell what exactly happened as I am total noob and even not a part of the community like Aoi was for a short time.
  • We have previously CFW Cobra Ferrox and tried to install Cobra 4.88.2 with 3 different pendrives.

Generally we have got weird issue probably like my voice in this case. However as I reported positive testing on not listed PS3 CECH-2004B and 'lost myself on the forum' just try to help.

I came across the same thing as @Aoi and the USB thumbsticks. The PS3 is so whimsical on which USB drives likes to read. The rule of thumb here is: "the older, the better", so try to get an old USB 2.0 stick which has at least 512 MB of space.

Also, I've noted the same thing as @vyktormvmpay25 said about not be able to go from OFW 3.55 directly to CFW 4.88. One solution that I've seen around the forums is, once on OFW 3.55 got to CFW 3.55 and enable de QA flags and token, then upgrade to some CFW 4.21 and finally upgrade to CFW 4.88.

This is very weird indeed. @Freesty, are you sure that your console wasn't on DEX mode when the update occurred?.

Not sure if will work directly with last stage for updates 4.88,I had to update 4,86 then 4,88. Let's wait OP, probably can sort issue only with usb updates.

Now that we have a way to install CFW on 4.xx versions, it would be nice to research if it is possible to go from OFW 3.55 to OFW 4.88. In theory it should be possible, even going from OFW 1.00 to 4.88, but I'm afraid I don't have a CECH A/B model to try it out.

with all this problem i try to format hdd on pc and now when go in recovery to restore ps3 system i get error that system storage cannot be accessed, and on rebuild data base same error. is this normal because i format hdd or is something else problem?

Let's start from beginning:
  1. Format HDD as a FAT32 (block size 4096 is probably default if you use Windows).
  2. PS3 should see it and ask for format on it's own way.
  3. Do not use NTFS filesystem.
  4. Recover the system from backup.
Do you have a problem at step 2? I understand the answer is 'no'.
Do you have a problem at step 4? I undestand the answer is 'yes'.

In my opinion there are two possibilities:
  • HDD with backed up data is in wrong condition.
  • USB ports need a 'help'.
I don't understand why you have a problem with rebuild database as it is option for internal/system HDD, so there is third possibility as well: problem with 'motherboard'.

It is not a normal situation and I am very curious what @vyktormvmpay25 write in this case.

Just to rule out any motherboard issues, do you have another HDD available to do some tests and reinstall everything?. Remember to format it as @Aol said: FAT32, default sector size and MBR.

I try to help but without any promises at the moment.
  • I have 3 consoles PS3 FAT (CECHBxx, CECHAxx and CECHLxx).
  • The problem is YLOD on every of them after OFW update 4.85.
  • Every of these consoles have had a problem right after auto-restart when update is finished and after a manual restart (read below).
  • 10-15 minutes is maximum amount of time as I remember and they switch off.

When I be ready to touch them I try update firmware and we will see if something change. If so then I can help.

I write about it because I remember Pro Evolution Soccer change clocks of PSP to work at 333MHz, so I bet Sony tried to do some kind of PS3 FAT PRO version. Slims do not have such problems in our case and many people probably have no problems at all with FATs on this version of OFW. However it is weird.

It is not hdd, hdd is fine. It is patches issues. I hope I'm not right but can't think of anything that would rebuild right patch. Is kind of checksum error. My last solution is dump and check errors, if fine patch 3.55 fsm and rest of cfw install 999 Rogero.

If you cannot update via usb then you grab a cdr and burn the firmware to a CD and use the CD to update bypassing the need for a USB

Can you do that really?. Awesome @mozznick, thanks for the tip. I've never read anywhere about burning the PUP into a CD and update from there. Does it work in Recovery Mode?, can you place other PUPs like in DEX update scheme or is it restricted to only one as CEX?.

No problem,

yes you can burn any pup as far as I know I've used this method a few times with slim cech 2503b and rebug 4.86.2 when the usbs decided not to show update files, common on slims for some reason, but yes just burn a disk put in the disk drive and update,

funny thing is after updating this way the usbs will probably work again perfectly that's what lt I've found anyhow.
