Help please- I formatted my HDD

I bought a PS3 with Rebug installed. I formatted my HDD. So now i am in recovery mode trying to install Sony firmware or a firmware to get it going. I do not know what Rebug was installed, but it did have ControlConsole API 2.80r7 by Enstone on it. I believe i saw in settings that the Sony firmware was either 2.82 or 2.83. In recovery mode it says to install 2.70 or higher. I have tried to install several Sony firmware, and several Rebug firmware, I keep getting the "No applicable update data found". I have tried 3 different USB sticks, formatted to FAT32. I also tried disconnecting the charging cable while reading the USB. Any other suggestions to fix this? Thank you
 
It must be FAT32 on MBR. It cannot be FAT32 on GPT.

If this is not an issue, indeed it is possible that fw was DEX and will not accept CEX until conversion been made. On top of that do not install over CFW a OFW if You don't want serious headache to back to CFW. :P
