PS3 Help With Running Games From an External HDD

I currently am running Evilnat CFW 4.93 on my CECH-2001B PS3, and I'm wondering if its possible to run games straight from an external HDD without having to copy them to the internal HDD first. Ive been downloading games from Vimm's Lair in PKG format and DLC from PKGi. Any help would be appreciated.
