PS3 Hey there guys, need tips on making the ULTIMATE PS3.

ok, so im working on a project ps3 right now. its a CECH-2501a, and it has a 140GB internal hdd, and a 2tb external HDD formatted in FAT32. I want all of the games to be in pkg format. It has Evilnat 4.90 installed on it. So basically what I am asking for is some really cool xmb, shell, and software mods that i could do. if anyone has a pkg bundle of homebrew that would be sick. But yeah if you guys have any tips that would be cool!

Well, I don't know exactly how to make the perfect model but I can list of stuff you can try:

Overclock RSX if your temps are decent.
PS3 4K Pro makes some heavy changes to the layouts of the PS3.
1.5TB internal HDD is the maximum supported.
Try PS3XPAD if you want to connect other controllers such as Xbox and DS4 controllers.
Use 8% space unlocker to get in your case more 100GB of internal storage.

Not all games where released digitally, some are disc only. Examples are God of War III, Killzone 3, Resistance 3 (a lot of 3's XD). In this case I would recommend webman mod to load these games and to set a constant fan speed (my Super Slim is at 35% and temps are at about 50's/60's degrees both CPU and RSX).

also i recommend you to get a good ssd to be used as internal ssd on your ps3, even though that ps3 does not have trim support on it, i managed to get a good ssd and it goes so far so good, on my slim i am using an adata SU650 480gb ssd due to that somehow this model does not identify the ssd at 960gb, still the system loads the games really good and also i managed to get a really good ssd to be used as external ssd which i do use on my ps3 CFW slim under evilnat 4.90 OC version, it is a 2tb P220 Patriot i got it really cheap and it goes really good enough for the usb 2.0 slots that PS3 has, also i recommend you to use the thermal paste artic MX4 it is a really good one for the console, i do have it under 45% fan speed and the temps when i play for more than 4 hours it goes between 60-64C degrees on both RSX and CPU

With my DS4 V2 controller so far the only issue I have in terms of functionality are the rumble function (in DEX mode you can enable it) and the battery indicator, they will not work. Some games might not work at all with DS4 (V2 at least), examples: NFS ProStreet, GTA V and some games have compatibility issues such as NFS Most Wanted 2012, in easy drive you can't use right D-pad, in MK9 the analog sticks and L2+R2 don't work, etc. If you really want to have full functionality + compatibility just buy an adapter from Brook Wingman or similar.
