PS4 Highest firmware able to be jailbroken?

Hey there, i recently found a guy selling a ps4 for 100$ it is on 11.52 firmware, Ive seen a few videos of people loading gold hen on this firmware however they do seem to be sketchy. I know that there is a way to downgrade but to what firmware would i have to downgrade to to be able to run a exploit?

Afaik, it's reverting firmware rather than downgrading. If it's still the case, it's only to the last installed firmware. And, I think I read reverting doesn't work on all systems, it depends on chipset. Just sell that unit and buy another.
 
Is there a way from the PS software to see the console's update history? I'm currently on 11.50 and I can't be sure if the last FW was 11.00 or 11.02.

It doesn't seem worth it to go to the effort of trying this FW reversion if I did the update to 11.02. Having a backup of 11.00 sounds more useful though, and can be JB of course.

maybe, but I'm not sure. I know at least the ps5 has an update changelog, but I do not know if it's actually a "history" of what you've installed or not. personally, I'd just wait. I think another update is coming around October. I'm part of the beta testers for ps5 software, so I'm on 10.0 on the ps5, and I'm pretty sure you have until October to download the beta, so that's how I came up with that date. ps4 and ps5 software usually releases around the same time too, usually to add features and patch vulnerabilities. the last firmware actually said it was to patch vulnerabilities in the changelog, so that could be what this new exploit is for. that was either the beta 12.0 or 11.52, so I think you're on a good firmware for whatever is coming. plus, afaik, the bwe chips don't work on all systems anyway, so even if you were needing to revert, you'd have a low chance of having a compatible system, because it's like 2 chipsets out of 8.

No need, 11.02 or 11.50 jb is coming soon though we have no idea which one
