PS3 How can I make MultiMAN launch PS1 games from the disc drive?

I've got a CECHC PS3 with the latest EVILNAT CFW. I would like to launch my PS1 game discs using ps1_netemu instead of the inferior out-of-the-box ps1_emu.

I found out that MultiMAN might have this feature, so I installed the latest version of MultiMAN MOD and switched to "MultiMAN mode" inside the app. Under the Game section I can see the PS1 disc inserted. If I press triangle, I can see two options: "Load (PSX/PS3)" and "Load (PSX Net)". However nothing happens when I select either of them.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to unlock some privileges to make this function work?

there is an option you can tick, on webman mod setup, to load ps1 games with netemu.

To enable the ps1_netemu option in webMAN MOD, navigate to the webMAN setup page (usually /setup.ps3) on your PS3 and select the ps1_netemu option within the "Scan for Content" section. After enabling it, save the settings and restart the console for the change to take effect. This will set ps1_netemu as the default emulator for mounting PS1 games, though you can still force the use of ps1_emu or ps1_netemu during the mounting process by holding down R1 or R2, respectively.
Steps to Enable ps1_netemu:

1. Access the Setup Page:
   On your PS3, go to the XMB (XrossMediaBar) and select webMAN MOD. Then, access the setup page by going to the "Setup" section. Alternatively, you can often access it directly from your browser by entering http://your_PS3_IP/setup.ps3.
2. Locate "Scan for Content":
   In the webMAN setup page, find the "Scan for Content" section.
3. Select ps1_netemu:
   In the "Scan for Content" section, find the option related to the PlayStation and select ps1_netemu.
4. Save and Restart:
   After making the selection, ensure you save the settings and then restart your PS3 for the changes to be applied.

How to Use ps1_netemu During Mount:

• Default Behavior:
  With ps1_netemu enabled in the setup, it will be the default emulator used when mounting any PS1 game.
• Forcing an Emulator:
  • Hold R1: while mounting a PS1 ISO to force the use of ps1_emu.
  • Hold R2: while mounting a PS1 ISO to force the use of ps1_netemu.

Thanks I know about this feature but it only works for game backups. I would really like to be able to do the same with my physical discs collection.

I am fairly certain it only works with games on the hdd not physical disc's.

By the way, I gave up all together on emulating PS1 games with a PS3. Some games like "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" have poor sound emulation using ps1_emu, ps1_netemu or ps1_newemu.
