PS3 How do I install Linux?

The only similar issue I've seen on my machine is that sometimes (with certain hard drives) the formatting procedure will fail if I try to use the ext4 file system. Then I have to shut down, re-start the install, and select ext3 instead. Currently I'm using a Samsung SSD and it works great, tho. If you have any spare laptop drives laying around, you may want to try swapping out the PS3's HDD for one of those.

I sadly do not have any other harddrives laying around, there is one but it's dead.
The PS3 is using a 120gb TOSHIBA drive by the way.

FW 2.01 is way older than anything I've ever used for OtherOS/Linux and I can't really think of a good reason to stay on such a low version.

From what I've read the 2.01 has the RSX exploit thing, I dunno what that means but yeah, also I like it, dunno, might be just me
