PS3 How does the PS3 interpret filenames ending with a dot?

ImgBurn can build image with files without extension, no matter what level of ISO9660 or Joliet was chosen.
Sorry, I wasn't very clear about this. In levels 3 and lower of ISO-9660, files with no extension typically get a dot/period added to the end of them to signify no extension (so the entry would look like "filename.;1" or something similar). In the PS3, this additional dot seems to be ignored by default, since in the Rock-Ridge extension files with a dot at the end in the original ISO-99660 have no dot in this extension.

I got the term "levels" from the man page of genisoimage, a fork of mkisofs. Brasero also uses that wording.

There is no RR on original PS3 discs.

Levels term is ok, I just asking form where comes Level3 and Level4? I see in ImgBurn LevelX after Level2.

Also I can create there disc image with files without extension and it don't add dots. Based on that, I don't think it is related to "Levels".

I'm sure for at least 13 of my games (I have no more left in collection). All have ISO9660+Joliet+UDF v2.50.

IsoBuster threat all extensions to fs and fs itself as different objects to view (even in cases like IFO for DVD-Video).
