I'm not sure if anyone's still playing this game over PSN or Xlink Kai or whatever LAN tunneling service of your choice is.. But me and my friends kinda got fed of up having to keep playing the games LAN mode with "computer controlled stupids" all the time.. BUT after a morning of trawling through the games ini config file.. I finally found the damn value that'll adjust the number of AI opponents you have present in a network game..

First of all.. You'll have to find the games own directory within the game directory under dev_hdd0 (Using Webman's Files tab is usually a good way of doing this) then connect to your PS3 via FTP and navigate to the games own directory, once you've found it, enter: USRDIR and then go down the following directory path:

FATALINERTIAGAME->CONFIG->PS3->COOKED

Till you find the games ini config file.. Once you've found it.. Download it to your computer.. (I also suggest you make a back up of the ini file.. As a just-in-case etc) And then open it in your text editor of your choice, find the following category in the ini file:
[FatalInertiaGame.FIGameInfo]

Now what you're looking for under that category is:
m_iNetworkBotCount=

This usually has a default value of 7.. Though you can also change that to any other value you like, such as: 2, 4 or even 6.. Generally how many AI opponents you want to have in a network game etc... OR if you just want to outright disable them.. Setting it to 0.. Will disable them from appearing on the starting grid entirely etc etc..

Once you've changed that value to your desired amount.. Save the ini file.. And upload it back to the console.. Replacing the old one.. IF you want to restore or change the amount of AI opponents again.. Simply copy back over an edited ini file.. OR the original ini file again.. Etc etc..

OH.. And changing this value.. Will ONLY EFFECT the number of AI opponents in the game.. For the host.. While the connected clients will have as many the host player dictates etc..
