PS2 How to burn the perfect burned discs?

I have a cousin that had a pc there's a CD/DVD writer. The minimum write speed is 6x. So how i need to burn it. I using UltraISO and ImgBurn, which is the best one to write. The only thing i know is DVD-R is the best one.

(fun fact: I am gonna use FDVDB exploit for burning, because i removed my modchip because it cant read DVD burned discs...)

If You can use FDVDB, You can use MechaPwn. So instead patching discs to become fake DVD-Video, patch them to become debug (and of course install first MechaPwn). ESR/FDVDB will not grants 100% compatibility. FDVDB is rather just entry point for further hacking than something You should daily use.

Don't burn discs at minimum speed.

Is MechaPwn can removed (like getting back the old model number SCPH-75004). I readed some topics about DVD burning and people burning AWS. Should i burn on AWS too?

Can be if You make and keep backup on NVM.

No. In most cases, best results are from half of disc index in assumption that ODDW fw have it in database. But anyway, burn quality it is something which you need to measure and never be constant. It is not that simple.

I tried using MechaPwn. One of my backups worked but after some time it starting to cant read disc. Ill try again

That seems like your PS2 might be scratching discs, most likely disc drive'd ribbon cable. (At least when I took a quick look at previous posts this is what I came up with)

Data rot and/or to low burn quality and/or on to low quality media.

100%, using low quality media can lead to so many problems. Some people will think their laser is having problems when all that is wrong is the DVD-R/CD-R is terrible quality or the burn quality was not good.

To be fair it can be difficult or even expensive to find high quality media. Most of what large stores stock is really terrible quality.

I recently bought some verbatim DVD-r's after my ps2 wouldn't read Sonys. It's kind of frustrating because when I use CD-r the ps2 can read 100% of the time, but with DVD-r a lot of times it won't detect the disk. So I'll have to open the tray 2 or 3x. I've been thinking maybe I should adjust the DVD pot, but what is the suggestion about NOT burning at minimum speed? My dvd burner typically burns 8-16x, and one time I used special software to burn at 1x. Do you think I should try burning at 16x? Most guides online suggest using the lowest possible burn speed. My laptop has slower burn speeds but it may also induce wobble from being a laptop.

The quality of the burn is dependent on both the writer and the media being burned to as well as the combination of the two. The recommendation to burn at the slowest speed probably comes from how a buffer underrun is very bad for a burn and that is less likely to occur when burning at the slowest speed available. And it's possible lower quality media may perform worse when burned at higher speeds.

If the system reads original DVD-ROM discs without any issues then may it is an issue with the burns. It could also just be that the media isn't great quality or is degraded. How are you running these discs on the system? Modchip, Swap Trick, etc.
