PS2 How to get POPStarter via SMB to work?

I still don't understand why it seems "strange" to you.
With that "logic" it would also be "strange" that there are different "commercial stores" and different "video game companies."
Does the word "marketing" sound familiar to you?

I don't find that a good analogy. Anyway, like I said, this only confuses users, like myself.

Exactly, friend, I wanted you to see how absurd your "logic" seems, that's what analogies are for.
Now, it is not enough to say "that is not a good analogy" just because you say it and that's it, for that you have to justify it and you didn't.
The example is valid and comparable in the sense that it is "something different with the same function" and applies to anything, not just "computer science".
If the word "marketing" doesn't sound familiar to you, it's understandable that something that confuses you may seem "strange" to you.

We agree to disagree, then.

Naturally

What's MemCard PRO2 for the PS1 and PS2? Does it only allow to store PS1 and PS2 game saves on a microSD card or USB device? Is SMB still the best option for a PS2 Slim to play PS2 backups compatibility and speed-wise or MX4SIO is now the better one? What's better, OPL or Neutrino (even though the latter is CLI, so it's harder for me to use)?

What are GitHub commits and why does OPL have runs (and what are they)?

I find it odd that some programs have both versions and commits, especially when the version number stays the same after a new commit is out. Why not just release a new version number without a commit reference when releasing a new version? Does that mean the latest version number of a program should be downloaded even if it stays the same since it will come with the latest commit, even if the last version number which stayed the same was already downloaded (but had the latest commit until then, which had become obsolete meanwhile)? Do GitHub commits only regard changes in the programs' source code or also in the programs' changelog and repository's text, for instance?

That's what you assume. As long as you don't break the rules everything is fine.

That's another "song", I haven't seen you opening new threads, can you link me?

Is POPStarter now more compatible with PS1 games than the PS3 if using trojans and patches in previously incompatible games? Previously, the PS3 was more compatible but I don't think some of the latest patches existed back then.

Why does OPL's GitHub repo say i.LINK/IEEE1394/FireWire and MX4SIO support is experimental if i.LINK and MX4SIO (supposedly) work?

Also, if using the PC or a 2.5" external HDD directly connected to the PS2 or to the PC/nano router when running OPL or POPStarter, may it go to sleep, and if so, may PS1 and PS2 games freeze? And what if using a 3.5" external HDD (connected to the PC, nano router or PS2), an USB flash drive (connected to the PC, nano router or PS2), a microSD card connected via USB adapter (connected to the PC, nano router or PS2) or an external SSD (connected to the PC, nano router or PS2)? I've read some reports claming an external HDD may go to sleep if connected to a nano router when running OPL.

I see you made too many posts on the same day.
I advise you to wait for a response for a specific topic, when you have resolved the question move on to the next but with so many questions at once this will seem like a "cybernetic" greengrocery
In other words, don't abuse.

I thought you said it was fine. Anyway, time has passed.

You say "what do you think" about what I "apparently" said but on the other hand you show that you don't because if you really thought about what I'm telling you you wouldn't have put your "vegetable salad" in this thread but you did it again.
Now what I said is "you can open as many threads as you want without breaking the rules" but so many questions in a single day is already something out of the ordinary, do you follow me? hence don't abuse it either.
If precisely you are seeing that "they don't respond" why open more threads? There you have your mistake as to why they don't respond to you.

OK, but like I said, some days have passed and they haven't been replied yet. I only noticed it some time later and like you said, I opened them in the same day, not in different ones.

In fact I only made suggestions for what is best to do.
When I say "exactly," I do so by following up on the fact that you agreed with what I said, because you finally recognized that you asked too many questions in one day.

I didn't agree with what you said. What I meant to say was that I only noticed I wasn't being replied some time later.

Oh, yes you agreed with me friend, we both agree that you asked too many questions in one day (you accepted it yourself) because you said "and like you said, I opened them on the same day, not on different days.", and You also mixed various topics in this thread.

That's not the same thing as agreeing with having asked too many questions. Besides, like I also said, I created those threads and I haven't been answered yet so I thought someone could answer my questions here, not to mention I was going to be criticized by havimg created too many threads, anyway.
