How to play multiplayer game on ps3

Hello everyone, I couldn't find a detailed guide on the internet about what is needed to use multiplayer games on ps3 hen, I hope to get a detailed explanation here...

I am also interested in which games are popular for playing in multiplayer mode, ie games with many players

Information about my console:

PlayStation 3 Fat - CECHL04
System Software Version 4.89
Hen version - 3.1.1
HDD - 300gb
 
Some games still support online, but there are still old games that have lan mode but this might only be 2-4 player games.
To play online you need to be loggedin to PSN
 
Can I with hen 3.1.1 and System Software Version 4.89, Can i play multiplayer bf4?

I have a psn account but I also have a cracked game
