modify the param.sfo file like CFW?
I am referring to the PC, modify the PARAM.SFO file only psp remote control play, does this apply to pc? I have been able to remotely control XMB on a PC.

PC Remote can be enabled, but it runs poorly since SONY stopped supporting the app nearly 5+ years ago.

You also need a cracked version of remote play app to make it work on non-SONY VAIO PS

Yes, I have cracked the Remote Play with PlayStation 3 to run rmp_launcher. I want to know why there is no PC option to modify the PARAM.SFO tool, and only PSP support. Or are there other ways to modify it?

Try this payload, replace the one that's installed on your hdd (dev_hdd0/hen/PS3HEN.BIN)

Thank you very much for writing the program. I can start any game remote control from mm. I think it should support almost all games. (I don't know how to add the game installed by HAN to mm, because it is not supported to start han game directly from xmb)
I learned about the remote control of the PS3 from the wiki. It requires the game developers to leave enough system resources to be possible. Unlike the remote control of the PS4, the system supports all the content at the bottom. Maybe the game will be unstable, but still very grateful

Exactly, is pretty much the same problem that happens when you try to record video
Actually the same video and audio codecs used by remote play can be used in the video recording plugins (mysis poc, webmanmod, etc...)

The codecs needs to use a area of memory that depends of the codec type (and resolution iirc), is something in between 4mb and 16mb max iirc
There are many games that makes full use of memory, so there is no room to create that area for the codecs... and as a consequence of this the remote play doesnt works (neither the video recording). The game crashes miserably in a very ugly way screaming like a minion under heavy pain

I attempted to click on link above(posted by Joonie) to download and install new commit by aldostools but the link is broken and I can't find it on the github aldostools page.

I am attempting to play psx games( isos I have ripped by original copy's), via remote play.

I use Remote play through PC and while on xmb, I click on game under webman games psx iso folder and remote play immediately stops working.

Do I have to edit payload and download install new commit as described above?

Can I get a step by step of how to force remote play via pc, if this is possible ( appears to work for Qiurigao)

I would also like to watch dvds through remote play. Is this possible?

I am using ps3 hen 3.0.1.

I'm pretty sure you can play PSX games in remote play, but first mount the game using webMAN, THEN go to remote play and try to start the game.

It's very much possible to modify the PARAM.SFO in an editor and play the game in remote play. I tried it with Minecraft and it works.. well, it works fine. In the PARAM.SFO editor there isn't an option for "PC Remote Play", you just need to check either of the PSP remote play options or the PSVITA remote play option, that did the trick for me.
