PS3HEN How to remove HEN?

With HEN 3.0.1 is still necessary to format the console to remove HEN?
the last post by devil303 is saying that reinstalling hfw will remove hen but sony may be able to detect that once had hen because some little bits left (like folders and settings)

If you want to be 100% sure I would recommend it, especially if you have using it for a while. You can delete everything manually and it might be fine too.
i did a quick format, it's good to go or i have to do a full format? in my case says it will take 28 hours.

quick is fine i assume
i hope so, can you please explain me what means in that other thread in which the use gave us a han enabler but cannot install pkg, only debug? i mean i always resign the pkgs then the raps then install and is good to go. with that enabler i can't do that?

i replied in the other thread so others can see and help them understand too.

i just looked it up...restore will format and delete everything (including saves)

restore deletes absolutely everything, it's like getting it the first time, but formatting just deleted all data except user data, so deleting all with the restoration option i don't think is the same as formatting.

let me check...wait just a second

restore deletes everything (like new ps3 yes).

format will delete everything except settings (time, wifi password, stuff like that). i think format will delete users and psn accounts too because they are on the ps3 hard drive.

backup your saves before you do either of these. (some games will not let you copy saves to usb)

Emm, format is the same as restore? formating keeped my user but restablishing will delete absolutely all.
Restoring is the best way to be 100% sure. But in some cases you might not need to. You can restore if you think there is anything in your user folder that is dodgy, like modded saves or unlocked trophies for example. Also restoring will reset xregistry.sys (system settings) file to default, this might be important if you ever enabled any debug settings while on HEN.

To be 100% sure do what I said on last page.
this is why i always recommend doing a full system restore and a OFW install: It clears the xregistory and every trace on homebrew/HEN, this can be important too as people enable debug settings, then change stuff that would be not be possible to change on OFW.

I restored the system to default, i got a welcome image and instructions to connect the controller to the console with the cable, after that installed the ofw, and now i hope the devs update HAN
