You and i have worked together for a long time in great way, and you always agreed on how we did things.
If now you have changed and want to do things differently, as i have said, it is perfect to me.
But don't tell people that you and i hadn't talked about this and stain my name.
I don't agree either and I'm also tired of telling you.
I've been in the PS2 Scene since 2002 collaborating with all kinds of people and developers and seen all kinds of things.

May i suggest that maybe you sell your work on the Play Store or maybe on Patreon, maybe these platforms are more suitable for what you want to do now, and get the support the way you want now.

Best regards.
If I say no it is no, I can't be more clearer, It's my job, not yours, end.

This is not true you never said no about publish an update in end of July, you know it, and this conversation isn't going to lead anywhere.
Off course it is your work, and it was respected, nothing of your pack of Youtube was published.

Best regards.
I will not continue arguing next time, respect people's decisions and this will not happen to you again.

This time i'm agree with you, but next time be more clearer about you "change decision", you know that you never be clearer,
it is not a matter of lack o respect, i respected always the sceners.

We enjoyed lot ot times working together.

I insist, i think that if you sell your material in the Play Store or the Patreon, or a Crowfunding, would be better for you,
you will have more better support, than sell it with a link of Paypal in Youtube.

Best regards.

Alright, what is going on here? I ask because I've downloaded the 7z file with the fixes in the archive was dated in August 2023, and not January 2023 (but the August 2023 one doesn't have the fixes mentioned in a recently posted YouTube video), and am I starting to see drama over yet another homebrew project here? :/

Also, I would agree with El_Patas on using Patreon as a donation route rather than going on PayPal for that, but that is just me though, and if anyone disagrees with that, fair enough, but giving different takes alone ≠ disrespect

@gDrive, i said it previously, the material published now it is from the first months of this year afther the one published
on January, the material posted in the Youtube video it is for December of this year, and from now you can only obtain it by payment.

And yes, alternatives as Patreon would be a better choice for Hugopocked for donations.

Best regards.

I get that now, so after December 2023, will the updated fix set be available to download without payment here?

Hi All,

I recently donated to get the latest version of hugopocked's popstarter patches. I am not technical so excuse my ignorance on my findings. Findings below:

FFVIII - Able to boot and start new game. Opening movie works but will freeze literally a minute after you enter your name and select the first dialogue option. Unsure if i did something wrong with the patch.
Crash Bash - I am EXTREMELY happy that the patch works as intended here. Previously crash bash would freeze on the first boss fight level. This has essentially been fixed.
Warcraft II - I am also very happy with the patch fix here. There was a pre-existing gamefix which allowed you to play the game but on the settings menu, it was literally impossible for you to know what settings were being changed. With hugopocked's patch, this is all solved now.
CTR Racing - Works as intended!!
Tekken 3 - This was the biggest shock for me because it worked so well. I am honestly impressed that half my screen is no longer glitching.

As an aside, i can see that hugopocked has removed the link in the main post to the eltrolado thread which contains the older version of the patches. I am honestly disappointed in this - i am unaware of what is going on fully between el_patas and hugopocked but i hope this does not come at the expense of the PS2 community.

Sadly, in terms of POPStarter/homebrew development, when disagreements take place and end in acrimony, development takes a huge hit almost all of the time, and I hope this is not the case but I fear it will be here

Tested 2 more games but they did not work

Both dino crisis and dino crisis 2 patches did nothing. I can hear the in game sound but no picture displays

I have completed the first one and am advancing the second one with hugopocked fixes without problems. Make sure you have the latest version of popstarter and check you have a correct backup of the game and optimal conversion to vcd. (if you have multiple .bin files merge them with programs like CDMerge. Sheet files like .cue or .mds are important for a correct conversion).

I take this opportunity to thank El_Patas and hugopocked. El_Patas to be able to maintain and enforce the principle even when it is not easy, I know that it has been about a year since you have been updating the compatibility list with the new fixes which, if I remember correctly, were due out at the end of June, and in fact many were wondering how the games never worked as reported in the list, simply those fixes that had been waiting for a year had to come out as agreed and finally a part was released. It was a pity they weren't released anymore just as we had arrived on the scheduled date. Special thanks to the crack hugopocked, for keeping his word and continuing to contribute to the cause. From now on it is right that your works become paid, a very respectable choice. A passion can always fade away, and small financial contributions can help keep it alive, so we will make donations if this means continuing to keep the ps2 scene alive also on the emulators side. The community needs both, thanks again guys

I'm going to say one last thing, all the debugging work, study development and extensive testing have been done by me, the creation of patches and fixes have been done by me, and I am very angry and sad, especially Patas everything I gave you from January or February onwards I did totally with the real support economically of some of my followers, they made private requests to me, they had much more rights than you and even so they respected my decision to release whenever I want, from now on i will work alone and with my followers and those who really support me, and if you continue to grant yourself will over my work and decision then I will no longer update anything that I am currently working on.

The current happenings here in this thread reminds me of the jay-jay vs @krHACKen.
I just hoped he'd respect my decision as a minimum of decensia, and he walked over me like it didn't matter when I'm the creator and I'm the one who should feel comfortable, something as simple as that, tomorrow or in these days I am going to fix the slowdowns in FF7 before the battles and I will make a video about it to cheer me up.

I am being neutral here as I don't follow posts on the other site where the patches are posted.
I just hope you guys can agree to disagree and put the differences behind you.

After getting into PS2 homebrew after a long while, yes, those reports don't paint Jay-Jay in a good light unfortunately

Same here
