PS3 I did it! Offline HTML from the Browser

The func_sidebar

Seems to open a mini window to display the content of the sidebar.xml file (i tried using a sample .xml file but no success, i only got a blank screen)

If it is executed from webkit it will open a transparent Window and we'll be stuck there as it can't be closed, the only way to control the system again is restarting it.

@haxxxen Have you reversed engineered the elf in ida pro to find those combo?

Im asking because for the "old browser combo" i had to use a titan one as a proxy to test a lot of combo (i just bruteforced it) but RE is more "funny" even if it is very difficult and i would like to find how to unlock the ps1netemu debug/config settings

no, but I have searched the prx for button inputs, but could not find sth suspicious. and then I saw this huge and ugly button combo on devwiki and thought, no way. besides, Square button seems popular for S0ny. I am not sure, but the Systeminfo button combo also has Square included or was it Select button? have to try again, but then, I first have to disable sMAN button combos, lol.

I don't think ps1netemu has any secret debug menu. I am partially at ps1netemu, to search for official disc switch routine

@haxxxen i dont think i have something to teach to you, but here https://www.psx-place.com/threads/need-help-with-psdev-wiki.40691/#post-365462 i explained how i found out the old browser combo.

iirc it took me a lot of hours (i tried it for 2 or 3 days) so this is an additional way to search for combo via bruteforcing - not the cleanest way but it works (u just need to write simple script with the titan one tool that works only on windows - i havent any luck running it on linux unfortunately)

I have tried a few combo on netemu because here https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS1_Emulation#Game_settings its written that all ps1 emu has config inside the self and that netemu and newemu support external config so, as the best/fast way to create and test config is by using a menu inside the ps1 emulator, I think there is a hidden menu that is used by sony to create config directly on ps3 (similar to the one on ps2 netemu)

But i gave up before ending all the combo test (probably with a better device it would be possible to automate the bruteforcing of combo while with titan one is just semi automatic)

we always learn new things, and I didn't even know that sth like this is possible (using external devices to do button bruteforce)

external config of PS1Classics is meant. as soon as you specify path as 6th argument to emu, it will be treated like PS1Classic otherwise it is treated like disc. besides, I have checked labels first in elf, but there is nothing about debug in any ps1 emu

Please If you have time check this
erm, what do you want me to check? this 2 button combo in Sysinfo (popup with "On/Off") does probably nothing special I think. maybe en-/disabling wifi or sth like that.

ok, I was wrong about 2 buttons, duh

nvm, this is Off by default

i wonder why still nobody has noticed this hidden option also called from system information screen.
i once was told this by medo from cmp, so credits go to him.

if you press L1+L2+R1+R2+SELECT you get an ON and if repressed an OFF notification.

Nothing happened here

are you running DEX? maybe only on DEX available or it was removed/changed? works on 4.21 DEX, but I will try on CEX now

edit
not a DEX thing, so would be nice if others can confirm if it does nothing. from what I remember, it was working on 4.46 Rebug

Are you sure that it wasn't a webMan notification? i'm on 4.46 Rebug and nothing happens, i'll try on 4.21 now

Edit: I tried it on 4.21 and same thing lol

pretty weird. I will make a short video demonstrating, maybe you misunderstood sth.
are you in System Information tab trying the combo L1+L2+R1+R2+SELECT?

this was covered by medo even before openCobra existed, so no mistake on a plugin button combo

Yeap, i tried holding it, quick press and etc.

If you can make a vídeo, i'll be Glad, i'm curious about this one and i want to add It to the dev wiki.

@NewFile how to log to webbrowser.txt? i tried on 4.21 and nothing, i enabled the logs in the screen via Web browser debug settings (hold square and press triangle) but nothing is written in my usb drives

Both new and older firmwares have only dev_ms/webbrowser.txt hard coded, i wonder which one are you using and how to make it log
