PS3 I had a YLOD and after replacing NEC caps I just have a red light...

I had a YLOD on my 60gb launch fat PS3 so I replaced the four NEC capacitors on the bottom with the appropriate tantalum capacitors according to the repair guides. After putting it back together to test and see if the repair worked, it now just goes green straight to a flashing red light. No yellow light now, but still won't turn on. Does anybody have an idea of what this could mean? I didn't put any tape over the tantalums when I put it back together. Is it possible this could be the issue?

I always cover my my caps with kapton. Electrical tape works too.

Yes, I have read that, but didn't have any tape at the time of the repair so decided to just go without it. I am going to open it back up and add some tape to see if it makes any difference. I really want to know why the yellow light is no longer there after the repair, but it still shuts off immediately after pushing the power button. Something I did must've made a difference. Maybe the capacitor replacement worked, but now there is a separate issue? Does anybody know the difference between the yellow light and just a flashing red light only?

To my knowledge there are 3 YLODs:

- Instant YLOD: Hardware failure (broken trace, no capacitor, missing a key component to power up the ps3)
- 2 to 3 second YLOD: Probably a bad NEC/TOKIN Cap or cracked solder balls?
- 6 second YLOD: Still not sure what this one is but I have been experiencing it on two of my PS3s

Take a look at the metal shields to see if there is some mark of sparks or smoke aligned with the tokins
If there is some thats a very bad signal
But i remember someone had that same problem and after replacing some tantalum capacitors (that died when the shiorcircuit happened) the PS3 returned to life miraclouslly
